I look in the mirror and find myself
Wanting to laugh and smile at me;

I look, and think to myself, this is cool;
It wasn’t always like this you see.

The world came along and threw some curves,
And I lost the person I was meant to be.

I was too young to fight it back then,
Or to know that my hate was all I could see,

And seen through the eyes of that hurt little child
I grew up thinking that I was ugly.

But I recently found that person again,
That person happens to be the real me.

Now I can finally understand all,
And I know that my soul is now healed,

Now I’m astounded to think with that soul,
And I can see that I’m really pretty.

So I look in the mirror and smile at me,
It feels so good to be so happy.
