Musings on the effects of my past on present relationships
If I told you all of it
Would you stay?
Would you cringe?
Would you run?

If I emptied myself for you
Slashed open old wounds
Put empty, labelled containers at your feet
Could you still look me in the eye?

If you knew the height, width, depth
of my fear of love
My shame...my shame
Would you turn your back?

And leave me here alone?
