its about waking up in some crappy apartment, and just wanting to go back to sleep.
Please wake up, its hard for me to sleep
when there's excess wind in every breath
from the portrait hung on the window ledge
So we didn't have to look at a city life.
Kids beating strangers in a hue of yellow
as that yellow reflects off my thigh;
Too different emotion, two different outsides.
Seven different people, one waved good-bye.
The town in my dreams, the one I despise
As I pack up and leave, the town wonders why.
And I reply; What have you done for me?
Except offer bad perception and social comedy,
Slapstick humor full of morals we believe.
And the excess wind drifts to something better,
and begs me to follow where a clean window ledge
Awaits to be constructed in patterns fit for a queen.
With servants and jokers lined up at her feet,
There they stand the window again,
Leaning out too far to breathe again.
But, with a smile on and eyes in my head,
we believe the world outside is the world within
And the scripture is complete on my skin.
As it tells of a life well lived, while I am thinking
about how much it frightens me to close my eyes
While praying to a cross that doesn't have ears.
Shaken hands pressed together,
And counting ceiling tiles and lines.
I get carried away sometimes, but it doesn't matter.
The window keeps me safe,
And the scenery, all from falling.
