An angel longs for what she can not have... (Dream prompt)
Sepia dreams
An angel watches
Her mirror shows her scenes of life
Her only connection to the world
She cannot be a part of.
She watches and watches
Entranced by the mortality
And longing fills her eyes.
She carries a double-headed axe
But never has a chance to use it
Time doesn’t flow in Heaven
Her Hell
Nothing ever changes
Nothing grows
Nothing lives.

Sepia dreams
Evil approaches
Tearing the angel away from her beloved mirror
She fights with grace and finesse
Evil uses guns and scare tactics
The fight is thrilling
Gets her blood pumping
The first thing to happen to her in ages
But still she is angry for being interrupted.
Too much evil to fight alone
No one comes to help her
She is overwhelmed.

Sepia dreams
The angel is reborn
Mortal this time
And dreams haunt her
In shades of brown.
