For 50 wd short story contest.Borne of my poem.That piece was borne of my short story.
‘We are all created equal’ the religious education teacher proudly announced to her class of young maori catholics. She was deadly serious, equality for all.

The young brown student in the back of the class laughed and retorted ‘tell that to some white boys, I’m sure it’s news for them’.
