Lynne:

Lynne gazes out the window from her desk taking note of the sky. She looks at her brother a smirk playing across her face.

"Lightning's skeletol hands are creeping down over Hogwart's tonight. Thunder's piercing cries won't go unheard. Like a metal blade the rain cuts it's path through the trees. Darkness shrouds around filled with creatures unseen. Tonight is the night with death someone will play. Blood red moon hangs high up in the sky like a rose apon their grave." Lynne clasped her hands together in her lap.

"Truely, I have no idea how we are related." Her brother Liam sighed looking at her.

"And what is wrong with me?"

Liam laughed at her question before taking it to thought.

"Well, aside the fact that we're both up to no good tonight." He thought a moment.

"I do believe the students arrived last night. I overheard bits and pieces of Professor Snipe and Dumbledore talking." Lynne smiled lightly as to tease her brother to join her glee.

"You do know how much trouble we can get into being caught don't you? The only time we're allowed out is when the students are not here."

"Yes, and only so we may what study the same as them. And I don't quite understand why we are locked down here in the first place. Don't you question why has well? It is like they are hiding us from everyone for some unknown reason." Lynne pleaded with him.

"Proffessor Dumbledore told us both mom and dad wanted us to be protected, but he never said from what."

"Surely you can't believe that rubbish!" Lynne couldn't believe it.

"I'm not for sure about anything they tell us. I mean I can't remember much about mom and dad and nor can you so how are we to know if they are lying to us?"

"We were ditched here and mom and dad I don't believe are coming back." Lynne spat distastefully.

"We don't know that."

"Liam, yes we do it's been over ten years!" Lynne tossed her notebook onto the desk.

"That is the difference I speak of."

"What is?"

"You are always negative about everything."

"Only about what I am sure of." Lynne put in her own word for herself.

Liam looked at her quizically.

"Lets not be on this subject." He finally replied.

"Fine. Don't admit it. Anyways, I am going to the Slytherin house. Perhaps, I can catch those two chubby guys Crab and Goyle and give them a good scare." Lynne grabbed her wand and a couple of glass jars.

"I have bigger plans tonight. I am going to Gryffindor perhaps to play games with the Potter boy."

Lynne turned around wide eyed and looked at her brother.

"That's thinking large, do you seriously think you can pull it off without getting caught?"

"Is this a bet I hear?"

"Perhaps just curiousity." Lynne placed the jars back.

"It will be something your mind could never conjure." Liam laughed.

His sisters lips curled in a purse and she then smiled heading for the door.

"We shall see."

~~~~~~~~~~~Change Of Pov~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lynne stood inside the Slytherin house looking for anyone who might catch her or she might make a victom of. She rounded the cornor entering on eof the dorm rooms. She peered in looking around it appeared it's residents were all asleep. She made her way up the tiny staircase into one of the rooms and stopped dead in her tracks to a lantern in her face with a blonde haired boy at the other end.
"So, all this time Crabbe and Goyle have been telling the truth. But, your not a ghost your just some rechid girl."
"Well, this so called rechid girl thinks your friends are quite lacking a third grade education."
"It might be so, but none the less the two do follow orders pretty well and are loyal."
"Did you just describe a pair of dogs?" Lynne smirked she could a small cackle of laughter as he grabbed her arm and pulled her into the room covering her mouth with his hand he turned out the lantern.
"I don't believe you wish to get caught by Proffesor Snape?"
Lynne shook her head as he let go of her mouth and opened the door slightly peering out then shut it turning on a light. As he turned back around Lynne could finally see his face as he hers.
"I don't believe I have ever seen you before at Hogwart's; red hair you must be a Weasly. But, I don't understand why your dressed in class did you steal someone elses luggage from the train?"
The boy's voice was disgusted.
"I am not at all related to Ron or any of the other Weaslys for that matter, Draco Malfoy." A smile played across the girl's lips.
"And just how do you know of me?" Draco looked at the girl skeptically.
"I know alot about the students that attend here."
"That doesn't explain why you are in the Slytherin dorms or what house it is you are from and just who you are." Draco replied getting alittle bit cocky and impatient.
"Curiousity I guess and it is fun to play with your dogs. I am not in any house, but I do reside at Hogwart's. And has for my name I am JazLynne, but you may call me Lynne. And as for us meeting no one may know of me."
"Lynne, well why do you wish to remain a secret and how is it you do not stay in a particular house?"
"You ask alot of questions some I wish I could answer, but I don't know if I can trust you yet. And with what I know about you your not very trustworthy in the first place."
"Really?"
"Oh yes.. I've grown quite found of you and your little escapades with Mister Potter. But, I can't quite help but wonder what all started your rivelry. From what I have heard you don't have a good enough reason to hate the boy or to even explain why it is you hate him."
"What would you know?"
"I bet you just hate him because he's a family rivelry."
"Your just like that damn mudblood think your a know it all." Draco snarled.
"No, I am a pure blood. But, Hermione Granger even if she is a mudblood would give you a run for your money any day I am sure."
"That mudblood will get hers in the end."
"Says who you or your father? Do you always do what your father tells you to do even if you know it's wrong? If he told you to go jump off a Hogwart's tower or walk through The Forbiddon Forest would you?"
Draco fummed turning away from her. He couldn't believe her adacity. But, at the same time the thoughts she questioned had ran through his mind.
"Sucks being right doesn't it? Or when someone else is right? It must be some sort of streak for me. Seems I can drive just about anyone aside my brother crazy." Lynne turned her back and traile dher finger along a painting on the wall opening a hidden doorway.
"Wait." Draco turned around.
"What is it?" Lynne asked impatiently.
"How long have you been at Hogwart's?"
"Long enough to graduate two and a half times. Since my brother and I were six. Our parents ditched us here for so called protection. But, I don't believe in that it's all just a lie to hide the truth."
"So, your 16."
"Yes, and your 17. Would you like a glass of champagne or Marbelay for that year?"
"Interesting to finally meet a girl who is as much alike me as you are."
"Oh we are and we aren't alike." Lynne disappeared.
Liam rolled his eyes, people said he had a nasty streak, right. He stopped short of the Fat Lady and gave her a broad grin, "Sweet lady who guards this tower, may I be permitted entrance to your dorms?" He asked, bowing low and giving one of his specialty smiles.
"Do you have the password?" She asked him, a faint blush staining her cheeks.
"Of course, pretty woman, of course. Honour and bravery, correct?" Liam smiled again.
"Yes, young man, but you should not be out so late." The Fat Lady said as she swung open.
"Of course Ma Petit, of course." He slipped inside silently and gazed around, hsi green eyes taking in the scarlet and gold of the commons as he ventured towards the fire where a group of what looked like sixth years and what was probably the Potter boy outlined by the orange glow, closest to the fire. They looked over at where Liam had entered, but he was already out of sight and hidden in the blackness.
"Harry? Did you see that?" A girl asked, her hair was long and wavy, a brown colour and tied back into a tight horsetail.
"I didn't see anything, 'Mione, just the portrait opening, probably some straggler or another." Harry replied, his green eyes sweeping the shadows and stopping briefly on Liam before moving on.
"Yeah, a straggler." A red-head chimed in, looking very involved in a game of wizard's chess, "Checkmate, Lee, pay up." He said, a grin on his face.
The boy named Lee groaned, "Man, that's the sixth game since the train!" He handed the red-head a handful of sickles and got up, "That's it guys, I'm headed to bed."
The rest of the group agreed and most of them tramped up the stairs, leaving the Potter boy and the Granger girl alone.
"Harry, you really need to get to sleep, you didn't seem to get any rest over at Ron's." 'Mione said softly, "This dwelling isn't good for your health, Sirius wouldn't've wanted you to carry on like this."
"'Mione, don't, just don't okay? I'll deal with this my way. I don't need you to tell me how to live my life, I get enough of that from Dumbledore and the bloody Ministry, please, just let me do this on my own." Harry got up and moved away from her, "You should get to bed, I can't sleep."
"Harry..."
"No, Hermione, not today." Harry said sternly.
"Alright, fine! I was just worried is all!" She turned on her heel and left up the girls dorm.
"What a way to treat a lady of class, Mr. Potter." Liam said quietly.
Harry spun, wild-eyed, searching the shadows, "Who's there?" He demanded.
"Someone you don't know." Liam replied, moving farther from the fire and deeper into the shadows.
Harry whipped out his wand, "Come out or I'll hex you!" He growled.
"You'll *hex* me?" Liam laughed, "You haven't been able to hex the Dark Lord, what makes you think you'll hex me?"
"You're a Death Eater?" Harry asked, his eyes wide, "The wards..."
Liam chuckled, "No, I'm no Death Eater, Mr. Potter, I've lived here longer than you have, I'm sure. I'm merely making a casual observation of your lucky attempts at heroism. The only possible way you've managed to escape is because of your luck. You should try and do more for yourself, work out, make an effort to be stronger, Mr. Potter."
"My name's Harry. Wht do you mean make an effort?"
Liam smirked, "I mean do yourself a favour and exercise, there was a boy I read about that did something similar, he's out of school by now, but he slays evil thing and kills the general populace of bad demons, you know, a male Slayer and all that, 'cept he was human... Anyway, he used to get up early and run, push-ups sit-ups, the works. You should too, since you are an appointed hero, not the anonymous kind, you should make even more of an effort. Magic, for wizards is a handicap, if you think about it. Where would a wizard be if he didn't have his magic?"
"Um..."
"Nowhere, Harry, nowhere." Liam said quietly.
"Who are you?" Harry asked, moving closer to where Liam was hidden.
"My name's Williamme, most just call me Liam. Um, Harry, do me a favour and don't tell anyone 'bout me, just easier for both of us really. I'll be around the Room of Requirement, if you want to meet me think of a place where you can meet a friend. Tomorrow night, if you're up to it." Liam left through a secret passage that led straight to where he and his sister stayed.
Lynne watched her brother return and sat up on her bed.
"Well?" Lynne inquired.
"We talked. He thought I was a death eater." Liam laughed.
"Interesting. Perhaps I should talk to him. I am quite ever curious about why he and Malfoy are rivels. Malfoy told me nothing really. He thought I was a Weasely and that I stole some other persons luggage." Lynne shook her head and stood up.
"Harry will be meeting me at the room of Requirements."
"Really? Perhaps I should steal a peek." Lynne thought a moment.
"I have work to do with him." Liam stated.
"Work?"
"He doesn't believe in the need to stengthen himself." Liam huffed.
"That's a riot. How does he propose he'll manage in the future? Luck eventually runs out you know." Lynne replied grabbing her brush.
"So, when is Snipe to check in?"
"Any moment now." Lynne watched the door.
"Do you think anyone came while we were out?"
"No, I think we were not caught." Lynne sighed with a smile.
"Good. If we ever do get caught things we will tighter then they already are."
"Well, they can't expect us to just converse amongest ourselves for the rest of our lives." Lynne stated her brother nodded.
Lynne and Liam's heads turned towards the door as a knock was heard and the sound of the door being unlocked made them get up on their feet as the door opened Proffessor Snipe stood and shut it behind him.
"Ah, are my two favorite students ready for their lesson?"
"Not entirely." Lynne started.
Liam's eyes went wide at her sudden change to disobey.
"Oh?" Snipe looked at her with a glare.
"How come are parents have yet to return? How come we cannot be with the other students? Do you have any idea how bored we are with eachother and how lonely we are? I think I might just curl up in a cornor and die." Lynne grabbed a few thigns from her closet and then walked into the bathroom slamming the door behind her.
"Well." Snipe exhaled and opened a book.
Liam heaved a heavy sigh and sat apon his bed opening up his book of spells.
"Ah here it is." Snipe marked a particular spell with his finger then turned his head to the bathroom as Lynne could be heard making alot of noise and laughing.
As the door opened Liam nearly fell off the bed as he and Snipe starred at the girl in the doorway.
Liam looked at what he knew was his sister she had changed her hair to blonde and stood in the doorway wearing all black skirt with black netted tights, a shirt with a black vest over it with the Slytherin emblem on the right upper side. Her hair was up in curls piled atop her head with black dragon clips holding it in place a few curls dangled down in her eyes. Her lips were painted a crimson red and her eyes wore a dark shade. Snipe walked over to Lynne and stood before her.
"What in the world. You know you are not allowed to medle with magic to change ones self."
"I didn't." Lynne smiled and smirked at the man tossing him a hair dye box.
"Where in the world did you get this?"
"You can get anything sent to you via air mail." Lynne sat down and opened her book as if she was about to study now then lifted her head back grabbing her wand from behind her.
"Petrify." Lynne waved her wand before the Proffessor.
"What the heck did you do that for?" Liam squeeked.
"He won't remember. Chapter five page three thousand forty-six; memory erase. All I have to do is erase this from his memory." Lynne threw the book back onto the bed.
"Brillant, but what if he wakes up?"
"He won't." Lynne stood up turning back to her brother.
"You have work to do with Harry and I have work to do with Draco. Somehow they are going to need to join together for what we have overheard might be coming by Dumbledore's office door." Lynne stated.
"I understand." Liam got up grabbing a few things he turned back.
"Good luck." Lynne smiled waving as she disappeared.
"Thanks." Liam followed after.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Change Of Pov~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lynne snuck into the Herboloy room and grabbed a couple of mandrake roots she put the earmuffs over her ears and began to make a powder from them. She grabbed a few others and then took off.
AS she rounded the cornor she ran into Harry.

"Sorry." Harry looked at her curiously.

"I don't believe I've seen you before at the Slytherin tables." Harry began.

"I'm uh new." Lynne took off quikly with him on her tail. She whipped around and faced him.

"Look I am Liam's sister. Please you never saw me now my brother is waiting for you." Lynne began off again.

"Okay." Harry headed off for the room of Requirements.

Lynne rounded the corner then headed down the hall the Divination room and grabbed a few things then exited back to the Slytherin dormitory where she hoped to find Draco.
Has she entered she looked around then sat down with a huff to wait.
Liam shook his head, Lynne was something else alright. He dressed smartly, a black tee-shirt and skin-tight, but easy to move in pants (black of course) tucked into a pair of dragon-skin boots and over it all his favourite duster. He glanced once more at Snape and sighed, "Sorry, sir, but it had to happen someday. We weren't meant to be caged." He left, the coat flowing behind him like oil over water. He emerged some time later and swiftly entered the Room of Requirement. Harry was already there by the time he arrived and was waiting in a chair by a roaring fireplace, staring out a window at the stars. "I hope, Harry, that you understand that we are not just here to play 'Be Daddy and work out' We're here to make sure that you don't have to rely on luck all the time."

Harry spun, startled by the sudden revalation of Liam, his green eyes were wide and uncertain, he had obviously not been expecting him to come. "I... I know." Harry said shakily.

"Good." Liam nodded, stripping off his outer clothes until he was just left in his pants. "Well?" He looked at Harry expectantly.

Harry blushed and pulled off as much as Liam had, leaving himself in a pair of pants.

Liam shook his head, "No, here, these'll do." Liam pulled a pair of sweat pants off a hook that had suddenly appeared, "Put them on, don't worry, I won't look." He turned and watched the Room change for their workout. Blue sparring mats appeared and a chin-ups bar, several punching bags were scattered about the place and a shower room appeared in the back.

"Okay." Harry said and Liam turned, he wasn't that bad, he had a few Quidditch muscles, but nothing like Snape had...

"Alright, first things first: stretches." Liam taught Harry several basic stretches, all of them he had learned from the Potions Master, he was the one who had taught him and Lynne to spar in the first place. Not that Liam was going to tell anyone that he had had professor Snape mop the floor with his sorry arse the first two years of grueling training. After some stretching Liam smirked, "We'll start with a basic workout the first few days then we'll start getting into the more interesting stuff, K?"

Harry nodded slowly.

Laim put him through a rough version of hell, from sit-ups on the chin-up bar, to running around the room that seemed to keep expanding each time the two went around it. Several hours later Liam stopped Harry, "You can go now, remember, I don't exist."

Lynne tapped her foot still waiting impatiently finally she heard the door open and someone come in. She glanced over her shoulder.

"I didn't expect to be seeing you anytime soon." Draco smiled.

"Persistenet aren't I?" Lynne smirked and Draco nodded.

"Have you come to any conclusion about what we talked about?"

"Not that again."

"I am serious Draco something bad is coming and Harry will need you and you him if you want to live. So, stop being an asshole and get it into your head. There is at least one person who cares if you end up alright or not. Why though I am beginning to wonder because your so damn stubborn." Lynne glared at him.

Draco had to admit the girl was intimidating, but he hadn't told her he had understood what they had talked about and come to a decision already.

"I'll make a decision after you tell me all about you." Draco looked at her.

"Like what?"

"How you got here...and whatever else you'll tell me."

"Okay...fine.. but if I don't like your decision I am going to kick your butt. I am 16 my nickname is Lynne my name is JazLynne Averiton. Me and my brother appear to be the last of the Averiton's our parents ditched us here ten years ago and never came back for our protection so to say. We're not allowed out when you guys are here. But, me and my brother have been sneaking out to try and help you and Harry. Has well as everyone else."
Liam entered their rooms and spotted Snape propped against the wall. He took pity on the man and set him outside and positioned him in 'prowling mode' and went back inside, "Gods Dumbledore is going to kill us." He sighed, sitting at a baby grand piano and playing one of his own tunes, a slow powerful ballad that rang through the small room and echoed softly through the halls, almost silent and haunting in its resounding voice. He stopped as the door swung open and Lynne and a pale blonde entered. He stood swiftly and swooped down on his sister, "What do you think you're doing, bringing somwone in here!" He hissed at her, "If Dumbledore found out...! Malfoy, you, what are you...? Dammit, Lynne!"

"This is my brother, he overreacts." Lynne said dryly.

"Lynne! I do not overreact! He's a Malfoy!!" Liam's eyes blazed.

"Hey! I am not a Death Eater! I just happened to be associated with one! My father's a bastard who wouldn't know the right end of a broom if it was shoved up his arse!" He snarled.

Liam's eyebrows raised, "Well, vehement now aren't we?" His green eyes trained on the younger Malfoy as he slipped into a predators grace as he circled him, "Why are you here?"

Liz looked at her brother tilting her head to the side giving him the same look.

"I brought him here because I need help convincing him to help your little shrub in training." Lynne watched Malfoy she was in near shock of his outburst.

"Little shrub?" Liam looked at his sister.

"Quiditch muscle doesn't count dear brother. The only thing that helps to improve is reflexes, poise, and a few other things. But really they both need training." It was Draco's turn to raise his brows.

"So you think he has got what it takes." Liam eyed Draco again.

"I'd prefer your teachings." Draco said to Lynne watching her brother's face.

"She will teach you but I will be watching." Liam still gave the predators glare.

His green eyes watched the blonde as Lynne sent him through a series of slow movements, Tai-Chi, the steps precise and purposely controlled, achieving, not only balance, but slow muscle-building. "You're stepping too fast, Malfoy. It's not about force, it's about control, if you don't have that, then you have nothing." Liam scolded.

"Alright, alright, just shut-up." Draco groused, slowing his movements fractionally.

"Slower, Draco, slower." Lynne said, moving towards him and guiding the movement with her body.

"Lynne..." Liam warned, his eyes narrowed at her closeness to the silver-eyed boy's body.

"Liam, I'm a big girl, I can take care of myself." Lynne chided.

Liam huffed irritably and stalked back to his piano, laying on the keys as the piano cried out in protest, the clashing chords echoing in the room.

"Liam!" Lynne yelled, glaring at her brother, "You're acting like a spoilt brat!"

"I'm not going directly against the Headmaster's orders by bringing *others* here." Liam shot back.

"Yes well, our little heroes don't seem to get along very well, so we can't have them in the same place anywhere near the same time." Lynne hissed, leaving Draco alone for a moment to get a better view of her brother.

"So here was a good place!" Liam snarled, his eyes flashed angrily.

"Yeah, I didn't think you'd mind!"

"Mind?! Mind!? No, of course not! I wouldn't mind if a well-known tell-tale came waltzing into *our* home, and if he happens to get pissed, tell the wrong people that we're here!!"

"Wrong people? Liam, who, exactly, are the "wrong people"?" Lynne's own eyes flashed in anger.

"The... nevermind, just forget it, you wouldn't understand." Liam stalked off into the back, slamming the door behind him.

"Liam!! Williamme, you get your arse back here!!" Lynne screamed in frustration and stalked back to Draco, "Keep moving, my brother's just in a foul mood. Arse!!" She bellowed at the door.

Silence came from the other side of the door.

"I am sorry about all this." Lynne moved away watching his progress.

"It's okay." Draco stopped looking at her to assure her.

"No it's not. He's probably mad at me now. I should let you go. Meet me outside by the woods near Hagrid's tomorrow. I have to go unpetrify Snape and erase what I did from his memory." Lynne spoke as if it were no big deal trying to cover her nerves.

"You petrified Snape. You'll be in a heep if you get caught. Isn't there anyother way you can go about visiting me?"

"Not really we have a high stand of guards always." Lynne frowned and exhaled.

"Come on I'll see you out." Lynne grabbed the candlestick next to the painting the hidden door stood behind causing the painting to fling forward. She gave a wave with her hand.

"No matter what your brother says I won't hurt you Lynne. You can trust me." Draco looked back at her before walking through. She smiled at him and waved him off.

"You have to go quickly now." Lynne started to close the door when he leaned back and kissed her cheek quickly before heading off.

Lynne closed the painting then walked into the next room opening the door she grabbed Snape's arm. She decided it would be better to erase his memory first then unpetrify him. But first she would have to give false memory of the lost time. She raised her wand and began to work her magic. She smiled at him when he came to.

"Ah well now. It must be late. Studies are over." Snape closed the book on the table picking it up and headed out the door. As he was gone Lynne fell againest the door and exhaled heavily in relief. She looked up at her brother's glaring eyes.

"I don't like you getting close to someone like that Lynne."

"He isn't anything like what I thought after I got to know him. Maybe if you would take your head out of your arse long enough to you would that as well. But, instead you are in here dwelling on my doings. My doings are my business Liam mine alone. What I do is of my own accord. I do not need you hovering over me like I am a child sister of yours or not."

Liam fummed she could tell she had only made things worse she decided not to say another word till he had time to think about everything himself. She sat on her bed looking out the window she yawned. She was exhausted from their little fiasco with Snape and the Tai Chi workout with Draco.

"Lynne I am half minded to have you train Potter."

"Why?" Lynne's head lifted and turned back towards her brother.

"You tell me I treat you like a child what about you with Malfoy! Your so overly nice." Liam's last word he held like he was a hissing snake.

Lynne rolled her eyes at him and turned back towards the window.

Liam watched his sister until she fell asleep. It was the middle of the day, about one-o-clock, and Liam was restless. He paced briefly, before giving up and grabbing his cloak, his intent to head out clear. Perhaps he could slip into the castle, he had never done that in the day before. He smirked, hypocrite, he thought before donning his school uniform and leaving, wandering the day-lit castle eyes wide with wonder, they had never seen the castle at anyother time but summer in the day and the sun was bright and harsh. It was autumn now and the castle was a but darker, a little more forboding in this light, like twilight almost. An echoing noise rang out from somewhere and Liam had good mind to hide before the throng of students let out and streamed into the halls of the castle, chatting animatedly and laughing with friends. He caught sight of Potter exiting the dungeons, slient and closed off from his friends walking beside him. Liam stepped out, disollving into the crowd, a new feeling, he had never been around this many people before and it excited him to no end, he flirted with a red-head girl briefly before slipping off.

He smirked as Potter caught sight of him and did a double-take, just in time to miss him as Liam disappeared again. He wandered into the Great Hall, he had never seen it so full of people before and he just stood off to one side, gazing at the people, making a conscious effort to remember a couple, like the red-head girl he had flirted with earlier and a dark-haired boy that had nodded to him, Terry, he remembered. His eyes caught Potter's again and he slipped away, nearly running into Professor Snape as he left, but quickly ducking into the crowd again, moving in the opposite direction as everyone else and moving to a different part of the castle to explore in this light. He felt an odd thrill as he walked right past McGonagall and went into the Gryffindor Tower, seeing all the boy's things in the sixth year dorm, identifying Harry's trunk immediately. He walked over to it and noticed the dirty and decrepit clothing, making a mental note to purchase some clothing for the skinny gree-eyed boy for Christmas maybe. He undid the pin that adorned his cloak, a dragon and a tiger intertwined, the tiger on its back beneath the dragon, placing it on top of the lid and waved his wand engraving his name, a place and a time for Potter to meet him that night.

Skye glances around the cafeteria watching the students and teachers. She glanced back towards her curriculem frowning. She hadn't the slightest idea where any of her classes were. She cursed her luck having arrived late. It couldn't of made her look good to any of her elder peers. She grabbed her things and threw her light lunch into the trash leaving the tray atop it. She headed for her dormitory when the stairs began to change.

"No! Dammit!" She cursed them and bit her lip this was only the start of a long day she concluded.

She caught sight of a red head leaving the boys dormitory. She made her way towards him.

"Excuse me." She hollared out to him. He seemed to be in a hurry.

"Please I just need your help finding the girls dormitory. The stairs moved and I havn't the slightest which way to go." She explained with distaste at being the newbie. She awaited him to turn around after he had stopped with hope.

Lynne awoke she glanced around her brother was gone. Why would he venture out during the day with all the teachers about. had he lost he mind over last night? She grabbed a pick and black skirt from her closet with black heels and a black vest and threw it on. She opened the book and flipped it's pages.

"I am going to regret this. Or I should of done this a long time ago." Changes her hair to a darker shade of blonde; her complexion to a tan color of sand and her eyes to a dark emerald stands before the mirror. She exhales and heads out to find him.

"I hope this works." Looks back at the back and her jaw drops at the word permanant.

"Shit." Squeeks out from her lips. She quickly heads for the Gryffindor dormitory. She looked all over on the way to them and couldn't seem to find him at all. Damn him has he any idea what trouble he could cause he could jepardise their whole cause. She had to find him but she needed help. Harry and Draco perhaps they could help.
Liam felt very clever as he danced through the school, smiling at people, but never letting them know him. He was good looking and girls all but dropped before him and his charm. He paused as classes started again, gazing around the empty halls and nearly getting run over by a blonde that for the briefest moment thought he was his sister, but realized she had a Gryffindor badge on her chest. They didn't have any of those, the just had plain black robes, no emblem. "Hello." He said codially, smiling widely and he could see the girl flush from the corner of his eye, "Are you okay, shouldn't you be in classes?"

Her eyes flashed, "Shouldn't you?" She snapped in return, her arms folding across her chest.

Liam grinned, he already liked this girl, "No." He replied, I'm above such pleasantries." He smiled again and took her hand, placing a soft kiss on her knuckles, "My name is Williamme, most just call me Liam, though, who do I have the pleasure to meet?" His eyes held hers and she flshed again beneath his stare.

"Payton Skye, just call me Skye though." She smiled softly, before snapping back into the present, "Oh gods! Class!! Do you know where the Transfiguration classroom is?" Her eyes darted around as if looing for a sign pointing in the right direction.

"Right there, pretty one." Liam pointed to a door across the way and bowed to the girl, Skye, before disappearing into the shadows creeping acoss the flagstones.

"There you are, you big idiot!!" A voice to his left snarled.

Liam turned to spot his sister glowering at him from around the corner, "Lynne? What did you do to yourself?" Liam hissed, narrowing his eyes as he took in her new 'do and eyey colour. "You didn't use that bok that I snagged from the Headmaster, did you?" At her guilty expression he rooled his eyes, "You call me the idiot!" He muttered, "Didn't you read the title? Wait, nevermind, of course you didn't, "Permanent Ways To Change Your Appearance"? No, you didn't read it, of course you didn't read it." Liam mutttered darkly, now you look even more like me, what with the eyes and all." Liam sighed. "No matter, Lynnie, the Headmaster will be severely pissed when he finds... wait no, is eyes will be twinkling like mad, if what I suspect is true, but Severus, oh yes, Professor Snape will have a coronary."

"And perhaps," A dark voice said from behind Liam, "He will also be wondering what you two are doing out of your rooms dring the day."

Liam went pale and slowly turned about. There, in all his dark glory, was the most feared teacher in the school, Severus Snape, giving the pair of them his patented "Glare of Doom" as he stared at the unruly twins.

"Well, we shall see what the Headmaster has to say about this, now won't we?" He hissed.
Skye sat onwatching from the door the situation she crept towards them and bumped into the teacher sending her things flailing across the floor. Severes Snape turned about and looked at her.

"Excuse me." He helped her pick up the books and tried to keep a watchful eye over his shoulder.

Lynne glanced around she screamed inside of happiness no one but that girl was in the hall with them. She raised her wand recasting the erase memory spell and grabbed Liam's hand jerking him along with her.

Severes Snape's head snapped up looking at the girl before him.

"Sorry sir." Skye curtsied and headed down the hall the way the two had went.

"Liam?" She whispered taking a right and near shrieked in terror as her mouth was covered by a hand and she pulled into the shadows.

"Thank you Skye for your performance, but I am afraid I must be going. Please tell no one of me or we will end up in serious trouble."

"So I noticed you two aren't exactly a pair of teacher's pets are you?" Skye smirked at him.

Lynne watched the girl with the same expression he had given Draco last night.

"Well, we should be going now." Lynne smiled politely and jerked her brother off hastilly.

Skye headed back to class with a smile.
Tonks walked into the potions room leaning against the doorway. She said,"I'm a new student and this is my first class."

Harry noticed her and she winked at him. Snape didn't have any suspect any thing.

Lynne pulled Liam aside smiling inside at the taste of revenge for her embracement in front of Draco.

"So who is Miss Skye?" The words played off her lips.

"Just some girl." Liam tried to brush his sister off his shoulder.

"Just some girl? Why did she feel the need to do what she did for you then?" Lynne laid back on her bed.

"How the hell should I know?" Liam growled banging a fist on his dresser.

"Sorry didn't realize it was that touchy of a subject." Lynne stood and headed towads the door walking into the other room.

Liam smirked and got up joining her he sat at the piano and played a melody that had been in his head since he had met her.

"Well, at least I have better taste if she means anything at all. I am not trying to flirt with a death eaters' son and meet an early grave!" Liam snapped and starting pounding the keys.

"Liam what is it with you? Do you not think I can handle myself? We have enough to worry about then you worrying over me and a defenseless boy who would not have any idea what to do if he pissed me off or anything else for that matter."
Lynne sighed and sat aside him on the piano playing a few keys before looking at him.

"We have been caged and guarded for almost all of our lives the last thing I need is another guard."
"
Liam instantly became repentant, "Lynne, I'm sorry, it's just, I worry for you, you're my baby sis,"

"Hey!"

"You are, even if it is only by an hour, I'm concerned for you, I couldn't bear it if somethig happened to you." Liam hugged her, "And besides, things would have gotten really ugly if Snape had actually carted us down to the Headmaster." Liam shuddered at the thought.

Lynne nodded and struck a few notes.

Liam grinned and picked the tune up immediately, one that they remembered from childhood, their mother used to play for them. It was a slow, sweet melody, Elfish in origin, so of course it was beautiful, but there was a hidden note of sadness beneath the melody, as if something grave were happening to the player and the happiness was to make others happy so they couldn't see the man, or woman, behind the mask.

Lynne sighed and got to her feet, "Liam, thanks, it's nice to have someoe who knows me to look out. Besides, with you, at least the rules are a little better." She tossed a smirk over her shoulder and slipped into her bed as Liam continued to play before tucking in himself.
Skye turned the corner from the Herbology room and shook her head. It was only her second day and she had already had enough of the classes she had been getting up early to find them and still getting lost. She thought about the boy, Liam, from the other day. She didn't understand why Professor Snape had it in for him and was it is sister? As she rounded another corner heading towards the grounds of Hogwart's for a break she ran smack dab into another girl.

"My apologies." Skye helped pick up their mess of books and such and sorted it to the right person.

"It's alright." The girl took her books from Skye with a smile.

"I'm in a hurry to take a break. Plus trying to keep up with my studies. I'm sorry how rude of me I'm Payton Skye please call me Skye though."

"Tonk." The girl extended her hand Skye took it and gave it a shake. Tonk's glanced over her shoulder at the pretruding boy to her left and smiled. Skye turned her head and followed her eyes to the brown haired boy.

"Who is they?" Skye looked at his scar and then the two who were with him. A red haired boy and a blonde haired girl.

"You mean you've never heard of Harry Potter?" Tonk looked at the girl who shook her head.

"Afraid not. I've met only two people so far. I'm new as of yesterday."

"Me as well." Tonk's replied watching Harry talk to the group aside him and then the blonde haired girl headed their way.

"Is it true?" The blonde girl asked Skye expecting her to know what she was asking of.

"Is what true?" Skye looked at the girl weirdly as she pulled aside.

"About your parents? Sorry I don't mean to sound like it is a bad thing because my parents are too. I'm Hermione Granger. Your Payton Skye, right?" The girl called Hermione asked.

"Yes and yes. How do you know so much about me?" Skye's eyes turned to slits as she peered at the girl.

"I just overheard. Would you care to join us at lunch?" Hermione looked at the two girls.

"I am on way to a break, I might stop by shortly afterwards perhaps." Skye sounded casually and unthrilled of the idea. She couldn't say she had grown found of the girl in the last five minutes of conversation they had. Someone who knew this much seemed annoying. She turned to Tonk.

"Well, I think I might just join you." Tonk replied looking over Hermione's shoulder.

"Look harder and he might disappear before your eyes." Skye whispered to her with a laugh before heading off.

Skye wandered the yards until she met a pair of orange eyes to a creature that she deemed magnificent. It bowed to her she followed the bow before moving closer to it giving it's a pet.

"I think he likes you." A older voice hollared from the right to her. Skye turned around to see a big bearded man.

"Oh I'm Hagrid. Caretaker of mystical creatures."
He smiled and gave the giant bird a pet.

"Payton Skye, most call me Skye though." She looked at him then back to the creature.

"Nice to meet you Miss Skye."

"Nice to meet you too Hagrid. And this is?" Skye nodded back to the creature.

Skye made her way back towards the trees and sat down she opened her spell book and took out her wand practicing. She stopped and studied a few chapters ahead before she knew it she dosed off.
Tonks said to Harry,"Speacil Ministry buisnes."Before he could question.

As she headed back to the dorms giggleing on how bad she tricked Snape. She hated him and had fun takeing advantage of him. When she got up to the dorms she looked in the mirror and didn't belive that she looked like an actully looked like a 16 year old.

Lynne awoke and hurriedly headed off to meet with Draco. After yesterday and almost getting caught she wasn't taking any more chances. She knew her and her brother were going to have to work them harder and find a way to teach them if they were to get caught. Somehow they needed to gain some time. She made her way outside to the Hogwart's grounds. It had been awhile since she had been outside the light caused her eyes to turn to slits. She peered around looking around every corner. When he was in sight she made her way towards him and tappe dhis shoulder.

"Yesterday we had an unfortunate close call. We will have to step up training somehow. I need to teach you what to practice in case we do get caught. Come with me." Lynne dragged him into the woods.

"This is the Forbiddin Forest have you lost your mind?"

"No not yet but this for now is the only place I can teach you. Besides when they see me like this they'll have my hide!" Lynne swung her hand over her body.

"Okay."

"Alright have you been practicing?"

"Sort of. There are some things I can't seem to get right though." Draco made an effort to try to show her the tai chi moves that he couldn't get his feet to work with.

"I'm glad your a wizard and not a dancer." Lynne laughed and grabbed his shoulder jerking him in front of her.

"Thanks." Draco replied dryly.

"I am going to attempt to teach you something to help with this it is a dance my brother and me used to have to practice." Lynne rolled her eyes and grabbe dhis hand moving with him showing him the steps.

"This is alot easier than the tai chi."

"Try moving faster." Lynne smirked as he fell on his butt.

They practiced for three hours before Lynne decided he had enough.

"Alright we're done." Lynne sat down againest a tree.

"I think I have those steps now." Draco showed her again. She smiled at the look of excitment on his face at having finally got it.

"Thats good keep it up. I have to get going though. Snape is do in an hour and sneaking back takes time." Lynne stood and frowned.

"Why do you guys let them hold you captives? I mean you talk of me doing as my father says. It must be worse for the both of you."

Lynne sighed he was using her own strategy againest her. She had taught him well she fummed at herself. Next lesson to me reverse pshycology maybe he won't pick up on that. She laughed to herself.

"It's not that easy. I wish it were." Lynne frowned again and kissed his cheek and headed off before he could get in another word.

She made her way back into Hogwart's and stopped short as she near skidded into Dumbledore. Her eyes went wide with fright. She watched Draco enter behind her. She looked back and then to Dumbledore.

He frowned slightly and held out his hand before him having her follow him.

"I see our guards are not doing their jobs well. Or perhaps you've been using a memory spell?"

Lynne's eyes went wider. How could he know?

"I . . .I yes sir." Lynne bowed her head.

"Well , if we can nolonger guard you then we will have to let you attend as regular students. Only if you promise not to petrify or use a memory spell on Professor Snape again." Dumbledore looked at the girl. When lifted her head she noticed Snape standing aside them. She chewed her lip and nodded her head.

They talked briefly a few more moments and then he dismissed her. Lynne near died over the experience as she rounded the corner she slid down againest the wall in a slump. William was going to estatic she could hardly believe it herself. As she listened she could hear Proffessor Snape and Dumbledore still talking. Snape appeared to be angered that Dumbledore was approving of letting her and Liam venture. She overheard mention of some sort of power that needed to be held in not let out and such forth. She also overheard a confirmation of their parents. They hadn't come back because they were dead. They died fighting to protect her and Liam, but why?
Liam yawned and glanced across the room to see Lynne's empty bed, he meandered over and felt the sheets, making note that they were cold, signalling that she had been gone awhile. He stepped into the shower and cleaned himself up happily before changing into his duster, shirt, and tight denims combo for the night.

He immediately headed for the Room of Requirement and pleasantly found it already open. He grinned Harry must be.... early? He looked at the Headmaster sittin in a, rather ugly pink and purple striped wing-backed chair.

"Ah, Liam, how lovely it is to see you, out and about, and helping our Mister Potter nonetheless, come sit by the fire. You might want to close your mouth though, wouldn't want anything unpleasant flying in, now would we?" The Headmaster chuckled, "Lemon drop?" He offered Liam a dish of the horrible candies which Liam promptly turned down.

"How...?" Liam was unable to voice his question.

"I seemed to have a run-in with your sister, Lynne. Severus, Professor Snape to you, had been sufferin from memory lapses, unable to explain them, he was, but he knew something was not right, he's a very powerful wizard, you see and he identified yours and your sister's magicks on him and, naturally, he came straight to me." Dumbledore chuckled, "Peculiar, your sister ran into me just after we went to go see the two of you." His eyes were twinkling merrily, or perhaps it was just a trick of the firelight, as Liam stared at the old man, the gnarled hands curled comfortably around a cuppa as he rested in the hideous chair.

"I see, well..." Liam trailed off, favouring instead, staring into the fire.

"Indeed, Mr. Averiton, I would like to ask you to join school, along with your sister of course, and train with Severus with Mr. Potter and Mr. Malfoy, as you and your sister have done." Dumbledore twinkled at Liam a small smile on the wrinkled face.

"Yes... yes Headmaster, i would like that very much!" Liam grinned at the old man, knowing that he had probably had this planned for a very long time.

~*~*~*~

Lynne was in the room when he returned, flushed and embarrassed looking as she sat on her bed. Her eyes flew up as he entered, looking at him in relief as she went over and threw her arms around him, "Liam, I'm so gld to see you, guess what Dumble..."

Liam held up a hand, stopping her, "He told me, we're to join Hogwarts."

She nodded, "That's not all though, I overheard him and Snape talking, Liam, they're not coming back, they're dead." Lynne said quietly.

Liam felt like he had been dealt a blow. His knees gave way and he sat down hard on the flagstones, "What?" His voice, for once, sounded very lost and no longer in charge as he usually was, "No." His voice cracked and he took a deep breath leaning back against his sister, tears blurring his vision before he forced them away and stood, "Lynne, dance, please." He said softly, "Like Mum and Da liked." He stepped to the piano and sat, pouring his heart to the keys as the music fell like molten glass through the castle, bleeding into everyone's dreams, a terrible heartache, a wonderful person, a happy dream, then it all falls to pieces, like shattered hearts and broken souls.
It had been a week now of sitting with Hermione and Harry and everyone. She hadn't seen Liam nor the girl with him since the day Severes Snape had caught them. She jerked from her thoughts back towards the conversation has she heard Hermione snap on someone. She turned her attention towards a blonde haired boy who stood with two darker haired boys overing the word mudblood. She fummed standing up not needing to hear anymore she backhanded the boy across his face and sat back down as if she had done nothing. The boy looked at her and growled.

"I see so now there are two of you?" He looked at Skye with distaste.

"So, what are you going to do about? Whine to your daddy?" Skye looked over her shoulder and smiled at his red cheeked face.

"What is your name mudblood?"

"Payton Skye. Call me by anything else and you'll get a matching set." Skye held up her fist. Draco smirked and headed off to his own table.

Harry's head darted to a voice calling his name from the door. It couldn't have been Liam as he turned sure enough he was standing there even in uniform aside his sister. They made their way towards the table Liam's sister made her way towards another table after waving a hello.
He could hear her biting off Draco's head apparentlly she had been listening to his conversation with Payton and Hermione. Harry laughed and nodded to Liam over his shoulder at his sister.

"That I think is the first person I have ever seen intimidate a Malfoy." Harry chuckled before asking his question.

"How are you two here? I heard Snape had caught you." Harry looked at Liam.

"Lynne covered that, but ran into Dumbledore after visiting Draco. He knew everything we've been up to and is letting us attend Hogwart's now." Liam shrugged the whole ordeal was exciting and confusing.

"So, I take we'll be seeing more of you?" He heard Skye's voice sound up from down the table aside Hermione and a curly darked haired girl he didn't know.

"Perhaps." Liam smiled as he turned to see Lynne dragging Draco back to their table by his shirt.

"Apologize." Lynne elbowed him in the gut and gave him a stern look.

"Hermione, Payton...." Draco looked back at Lynne who elbowed him yet again with a glare.

"I would like to apologize it was wrong of me." Draco exhaled.

"Sorry about your cheek." Skye waved a hand before her face. Hermione just nodded starring at the two new students.

"I'm sorry Ron Hermione this is Liam and that is Lynne his sister." Harry introduced them.

"We already know your names. We are the Averiton twins." Lynne added.

"I don't believe I have ever read of that last name. Usually the library carries Hogwart's history of who attends and such." Hermione tried to make it sound as if she wasn't to curious.

"As far as we know our parents attended here." Liam looked at the girl.

"Then there would be pictures in the old year books or something you would think." Hermione muttered.

Lynne leaned back in here chair she couldn't believe that there was nothing of their parents in the Hogwart's history. Somehow one of them would have to break into the school files there had to be something somewhere. Why would they erase all knowledge of them. What were they hiding the questions flooded her mind as she tried despritely to pay attention in D.A.D.A.
None of it made any sense. A wand hitting her desk made her jolt her head upward towards the teacher.

"I insist that you start paying attention. Now then pair off. We're going to practice dispell." The teacher turned from her and she rolled her eyes.

Dispell Liam and her had learned this years ago. If they were at least going to attend she wished they would challenge them. Just then Proffessor Snape walked through the door. He had an eerie look on his face as he talked with the teacher then the teacher clasped his hands together and turned towards Lynne and Liam as well. Lynne dreaded the look it made her shrink in her chair.

"Professor Snape has suggested that you and Liam are to pair with him."

Lynne gulped and looked at Liam payback wasn't going to be a fun lesson. But she wouldn't hold back her knowledge of what she nor her brother could do. She would show him everything. Perhaps they together could give him his just desserts for being so shrude over the years.
Liam swallowed heavily and glanced at Lynne out of the corner of his eye. She was pale and her eyes wide. Payback was a bitch. He stepped forward first, his sister follwing behind, and nodded to the professor, "If you so wish, sir." Liam said, turning to Professor Snape, "Hello, Professor."

"Mr. Averiton. Miss Averiton." Snape said, his black eyes narrowed, his wand raised, and his posture relaxed as he watched the twins.

Liam turned to his sister and was prmptly hit with a Stinging Hex, "Hey!" He protested, glaring at Snape.

"Mr. Averiton, never turn your back on an enemy, how many times have I told you that?" Snape sneered down his nose at Liam and he shifted uncomfortably under that black gaze.

"Two hundred seventy... three." Liam sighed, looking properly shamefaced as he raised his wand and Lynne did the same.

The class was leaning forward eagerly, anxiously awaiting to see what the "new kids" could do as the pair swung their wands down, two different spells erupting from their wands, one an orange colour and the other pale pink as the streaked towards Snape.

A smirk twisted his lips as he skillfully deflected the curses with his wand and shot a bright purple spell from his own and it struck Lynne who immediately fell into a slumber.

Liam snarled and erected a shield around himself and his sister, "Enervate!" He shouted and Lynne woke with a snarl and sent three simultaneous hexes at Snape whilst Liam strengthed the shield to include Lynne's powers. Snape managed to dodge all of Lynne's hexes and warp their shield in the same move so that Liam and Lynne were forced to drop it and re-erect it quickly.

"Diffindo!" Liam shouted and a white shield surrounded him as Lynne did the same.

"Discalcus!" Snape hissed and a black jet shot from his wand striking Liam's shield and making it waver.

"Flechirs!" Liam responded and several jets of white light struck Snape's shield. Sweat had begun to form on Liam's brow and upper lip and he was forced to wipe it from his eyes, taking a dangerous second that cost him, his shield fell and a red spell hit him hard in the chest, sending him spinning away and his wand to fly from his grasp as Snape caught it and promptly hit him with a simple "Stupefy." And Liam was down for the count.
As Snape snatched up Liam's wand his guard dropped Lynne seeing a chance for her brother and her to declare his defeat she dove for it.

"Impedimenta!" Lynne's shot a clear yet glittery streak that dove at Snape. It hit the sholc was almost overwhelming at watching his movements freeze he was stuck in a pose glancing at her over his shoulder. No time to hesistate she had to finish it. What was it called dammit no time to forget now. Her mind raced for the answer.

"Portus!" Not being able to think of it she thought of the next best creating a portal in which she would use to move behind him then attack hopefully she would think of the true spell then she disappeared in thin air.

Snape unfroze momentarily after the spell casting a petrify spell into the air it missed just shy of her disapppearing. Lynne reappeared behind him with a grin apon her.

"Scourgify." Lynne remembered having this spell used on her and Liam alot throughout their childhood. Snape's body twisted around just in time for his face to turn into a scowl he opened his mouth.

"Ennervate!" Lynne shrieked pointing her wand at her brother then she jerked it back at her brother's wand in Snape's hand. "Accio!" Liam looked shocked as his wand was returned and he was back in the game.

A purple colored streak shot at Lynne she ducked but was hit with Snape's other spell.

"Expelliarmus." Snape smiled at Lynne who glared. She was now out. It was up to Liam now to finish him.

"Enough." Snape used his hand to dismiss the two to their seats.

Liam looked at Lynne and if looks could kill he thought Snape would be dead for sure ten times over. Lynne was fumming at him dismissing her and him before Liam had a chance to finish him.
And he could tell Lynne was biting back giving him a piece of her mind. As Liam looked at his peers it seemed as though they were the ones had had petrify cast on them. They were all starring at gawking at Lynne and him as if they were some side show.

Lynne looked over at Liam and lipped that Snape knew he was going to loose. A wand snapped Lynne's attention back towards the head of the class.

"Is there something you wish to speak Ms. Averiton?" Professor Snape held her eyes.

"Perhaps." Lynne looked right through the man.

"Well?" Professor Snape looked at the girl to see if she needed an introduction to speak what she might say.

"Fine. I think you dismissed Liam and I because you were afraid of being beaten by your own students. As well as one question why would you give us a book with stuff in it to learn that we coudl use againest you? That one has been bugging me ever since I first petrified you." Lynne finally stopped and looked around the room to all the jaws dropped. When she noticed someone had their wand pointed in her direction and had cast a truth telling spell. She glared over her shoulder at the boy.

Liam raised an eyebrow at Lynne, then turned his face to the student that had cast the spell on her. His eyes darkened as he recognized the sixth year Slytherin, Blaise Zabini. He glanced back at Snape in time to see his lips curl in a vicious sneer.

"What I choose to teach you is my concern, not yours, Miss Averiton. As to petrifying me, I have already dicussed your... transgressions, with the headmaster." His black eyes became dangerous, "As to you almost 'beating' me, I have far more experience than you in various fields, you never had a chance of beating me." He turned away from Lynne then, his black eyes seeking Liam, "As for you, I have seen better performances from American Hillbillies, to rival that display." He gave a curt nod to their duelling teacher and left in a swirl of robes, just as the bell rang for dismissal.

~*~

"I can't believe him!!" Lynne fumed later that day, that mean, snarky, asinine, bastard! How dare he! How dare he! 'You never had a chance of beating me.' He says. Oh I'll show him, I'll show him!!"

"Lynne, relax. He's probably right, he *is* alot older than us, and besides, he's duelled with the Headmaster and beat him. That was an incredible fight, you remember this summer."

"Yeah, he only won because he used Dark..."

"Lynne no he didn't, he cheated a little." Liam corrected, "He won't touch Dark Magic, not after our first summer, that was hell."

Lynne fell silent, turning her face away, "Maybe..."

"Lynne, let's go eat." Liam said, pushing her into the Hall, only to be greeted by McGonagall, holding a very frayed and patched wizard's hat.

"Liam, Lynne, you are to be Sorted, today." She said, moving to the front of the hall and setting the hat down in front of the Teacher's table.

"Bugger." They chorused.
The old wizard's hat was sat apon William's head first. The hat smiled.

"Ah yes, William Averiton, spitting image of his father with his mother's attitude. Oh yes it seems I have the perfect place for someone of your expertiese and skill. It seems to me you and your sister have always been quite close and it as served it's purpose making you strong in your training. But, now..." The hat seemed as though it was thinking of what it were to say. As if it had been told to say something. The pause was short before he continued.

"Ahemn, the time as come for you both to go separate and take comfort in that which you both have been taught. Nolonger can you either seek out eachother for help...and in that you will find new strength. Mr. Averiton I think you would serve best at Gryffindor." The hat ruffled it's brow as it was placed onto Lynne's head next.

Lynne was ready to rip the hat apart at any cost if it dared to do has it had said would be best.
She watched it warily as it was placed on her head.

"Ms. JazLynne Averiton. Pleasure to meet you. Ah yes your brother's opposite the spitting image of your mother yet your father's attitude. You thirst for knowledge and never hesitate to you it when you think it a worthy cause. You my child will do well at Syltherin." The hat seemed to be watching someone's lips as she followed it's gaze it fell on Severes Snape. Why was he bent on having the two split apart? Lynne stepped down and made her way towards him. Enough was enough she wanted answers and one way or another she was going to get them.

Her brother watched her head off he knew that look and took after her grabbing her arm.

"What are you trying to do?" Liam jerked her back in front of him.

"That hat was trained to say that. Snape wants us apart and I want to know why." Lynne snapped jerking away heading straight towards Snape.

Draco onwatched Lynne and Liam as well as Harry and the rest of the group. Liam headed for Draco and Harry.

"Lynne's lost her mind she is going to confront Snape in front of everyone she said something about the hat being trained to speak. I swear sometimes she is encourageable not her best quality." Liam looked over his shoulder towards his sister who was about to be standing in front of Snape when Draco stepped in front of her and Harry behind. Draco frowned knowing he and Harry would hear about this later but he made small talk then nodded back to Harry who casted a freezing spell. And then they drug her off away from Professor Snape.

Skye stood in the hallway watching and laughed.

"Interesting way to get a date." She commented to Harry and Draco. Liam followed and her eyes rose to meet his.

Tonks couldn't belive there were this many new students this year. Her project was to watch the Averitans. She was also called to watch Hermione because on the the ministery's fortune tellers said a thing about a bad thing happening after she discovered something.

Tonks just waited and watch for something to happen so she could revel herself.

Lynne unfroze and slapped the two boys across their faces hard.

"How dare you. I want an answer from the pompous bastard and I plan to get one!" Lynne snapped at the two and her brother.

"Lynne do you have a wish to have words with the headmaster?" Liam pleaded with her knowing she would not drop the subject.

"Perhaps. And I thought you were on my side!" Lynne glared at Draco.

"You want answers?" Skye looked at the girl Hermione stood at her side.

"And you think you would know how to get them?" Lynne looked at the two skeptically.

"Maybe..." Skye and Hermione chorused.
"Tell us." Liam stated.
"Well, it seems if their is noting on their files that we would have to travel back in time." Hermione pulled a gold necklace from her shirt holding it up.

"Problem is we don't know what time to go back to." Skye concluded.

"No we don't but what if we went back to a couple of days before they left us here and listened to the conversation with Dumbledore surely he had to approve of this." Liam stated.

"It's worth a try. Meet me back here after class. You and Lynne may borrow this but I will have to show you how to use it. I've never used over two people with this when me and Harry used it. I don't want to press my luck so you guys will go and we will stay and make up an excuse to where you are. Just do not be seen." Hermione explained.

"I appreciate this Hermione I really do. But there is only one problem. We have Snape watching practically our every move someone else is going to have to go." Lynne frowned.

"I will go." Skye volunteered looking at the two,
"I have no classes right now. My schedule is sort of in an up roar. I can return to the dorms and use it there."

"Then it's settled." Hermione handed her the chain.

Tonks was over joyed on her discovery. She had a time turner. She had sent a post to the auror office informing them of her future actions.

She loved that she would see some action soon. She decided to taunght Snape for celebration. He was in the hall and said,"Flipanco" and she made a bug fly deeply into snapes big nose.

She giggled and walked away with Snape busy picking his nose.

[I just needed to write that. LOL]

(Eww. *lol* I always wondered..)

Skye stood in the middle of her room door locked and spinned the time turner backwards. Before she knew she was standing in her dormitory with another girl onher bed fast asleep. She thanked her luck of that then headed out the door.

As she rounded towards Dumbledore's office she could see Liam and Lynne standing side by side with their parents. They must have been told to go elsewhere for they walked away eager to get to know the place. She hid behind the curtain to avoid their site. After they past she crept closer to the door after it had shut and put her ear to it. She could vaguely make out bits of their conversation. But for the most part the two were brought there to be taught as wizards, for protection againest evil and to have their true power dampened as long as they remained inside Hogwart's. Something to do with bloodlines and heightening their abilities as wizards. Footsteps bounded towards the door and Skye took off fast as daylight she crept back to her room withthe sleeping girl in it. She spun the necklace back the other way.

When she reappeared in her room the girl was gone she heaved a sigh. So that was it. She had to get to Liam and Lynne.
Liam was pacing from one end of his room to the other, the other boys were watching him, their heads moving back and forth as one would watch a tennis match.

"Liam, you need to calm down." Harry said, frowning at the obvious distress Liam was in.

"Calm down, he says," Liam muttered, "Calm down! I'll calm down when I figure out why Snape split us up!" He snarled, thrusting his fist into his bed post, making an ominous 'Crack' echo through the dorm. Liam froze and turned his head to the post. It was hanging only by a single splinter as it teetered back and forth on it's broken edge.

"Woah." Ron muttered, going pale beneath his freckles, even Harry was staring wide-eyed at the break.

"Oops." Liam said, looking at his still-clenched fist, there were vicious cuts along his knuckles and blood was running freely down his bloodied fingers. "Damn." He said, dropping uncerimoniously onto the bed, "I'm tired, I'll see you in the morning." He sighed, shutting the curtains and forcing his body to sleep.
Skye crept into the boys dormitory she glanced around the rooms till she walked in finding Liam's. She walked over to his bed and gave him a shake. He awoke with a jolt grabbing her by her wrists and flipping her over onto the floor.

"Ow." Skye mumbeled from down on the floor she rubbed her head. Liam reached over and turned on his light he got up quickly at the sight of her and helped her up.

"Sorry." Liam apologized Skye nodded starring at him with a red face as Liam looked down he realized he wasn't exactly dressed for company he quickly grabbed up a pair of pants and put them over his boxers while Skye turned around.
He tapped her shoulder when he was done and she turned around the red in her face had gone down.

"My apologies again." Liam exhaled with a sigh trying not to rub his hand which hurt.

Skye looked at him quickly able to tell the mood he was in.

"What in the sam hell did you do that on? Because I know it wasn't me." Skye picked up his hand looking it over.

"Bed post..." Liam's voice was quiet as he exhaled.

Skye walked into his bathroom and grabbed a clean washcloth she soaked it in cold water and rang it out bringing it back with her to his bed side. She picked up his hand again and cleaned the blood off to have a better look. She let his hand go and shook her hand.

"That might need stitches. Your lucky it isn't your wand hand." Skye returned the wash cloth to his bathroom and had a seat next to him on his bed.

"What brings you here during the middle of the night?"

"Well, I figured you might want to know what I found out." Skye stated.

"It could of waited till morning." Liam threw up his hands.

"Well, then I will show myself to the door." Skye got up and headed for his door when a hand came up from behind her and leaned on the door.

"You said it could wait till morning." Skye grinned back at him.

"Well, your here now. So, tell me."

"Snape split you two apart so you wouldn't find out that your parents brought you here for protection and to learn as well has have your true powers dampened so evil wouldn't be able to find you. As long as you two are inside Hogwart's your true potential cannot be seen or used. Your mother and father died shortly after they left you here. They were murdered." Skye sighed frowning.

Lynne tossed and turned she had been having nightmares ever since her parents death was confirmed. She sat up and glanced around she had somehow made it to her floor without waking. She rubbed the knot on the back of her head as she stood. She opened the curtains letting the sun shine through her eyes turning to slits at the brightness. She turned hearing a knock on her door.

"Hey sleepy head your going to be late!" A familiar voice yelled in.

Lynne opened the door rubbing her eyes to Hermione standing there looking her over.

"My word your a mess." Hermione commented.

"Can't sleep a wink." Lynne stated and turned shutting the door after ushering the girl in. She grabbed her robe and clothes and headed for the bathroom to quickly get ready.

Hermione tapped her foot againest the floor impatiently awaiting her. As the door open Lynne was whizzed away by Hermione jerking her down the hallway ot their first class.

"Can I at least wake up before I am draged off to who knows where...oh yeah herbology." Lynne's eyes skimmed the door title.

Liam chased after Skye, easily keeping up with her slim form as she darted around one corner to the next. She had obviously learned the castle well enough in her first few days here, he watched the smooth curves of her body as she ran, his green eyes alighting on hers for a moment as she turned out of the castle and onto the grounds towards their first class, double herbology with the Slytherins. *good* he thought, *I'll see Lynnie, see how //her// night was.* His was terrible, his eyes constantly flashing with sickly green and red lights, waking him ever hour or so, on top of that, his hand was still painful and bleeding through his wraps that hid his cuts. "Skye." He said, making her pause and turn to face him fully.

"Yes?" She watched him with wide eyes.

"We're going to be twenty minutes early, we keep this pace, why not stop and enjoy the view the grounds has to offer?" He said smoothly, stuffing his hands into his pockets and began walking calmlyin the general direction of the greenhouses, inviting Skye to walk next to him. "No hurry, okay, this place doesn't need rush, rush, rush, it's too pretty." He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and smiled softly.
Skye stopped and turned around she had been so busy getting to know the place she had overlooked it. Liam looked at the girl he had just realized she knew more of him then he of her. He felt kind of bad for never having asking about herself.

"Where are you from?" Liam started glancing around.

"Manchester, England. I live with my father. Mom and dad are divorced." Skye frowned looking at him.

"Sorry." Liam looked back at her.

"It's better that way though they don't fight anymore. They get along better now then they ever did...so I can remember. As for me I just stray away from my father and his job. I'd live with my mother but it isn't much different. I am trying to get my father to let me stay here. He can't really look after me and do his job so to speak."

Lynne sat in her chair she had never been this early to class before. Aparently Hermione was shoein for teacher's pet. Lynne glanced around before laying her head down on the desk starting to dose off.

Hermione took out her wand tapping Lynne's desk making her jump up nearly hitting her head on a potted plant above her. Hermione laughed and Lynne shot her a glare.

"You keep doing that and I am going to make your life very difficult." Lynne gritted her teeth.

Hermione shrunk in her seat having overheard what had happened between Liam and Lynne againest Professor Snape. Hermione looked at Ron who also had shrunk in his chair.

"What are you so worried about she didn't remark that to you." Hermione muttered over her shoulder to him.

"Her and her brother scare me anyone who can talk back to Professor Snape I wouldn't want a fight againest. Let alone be their enemy." Ron replied.
Liam watched Skye slowly make her way across the grounds with a deliberate slowness, to taek in the sights that Hogwarts grounds had to offer. Rolling green hills and a breath taking view overlooking the lake. He sat her on one of his favorite sitting spots during the summer, a rock, well-worn by the many people who sought solace here in one form or another, overlooking the lake in all it's majestic beauty. The giant squid poked a lazy tentacle out of the water, reaching for something on the shore, probably something left by one student or another, as the arm withdrew back into the water, slipping in a small wash of ripples.

"It's pretty here." Skye said softly, her eyes travelling to Liam shyly.

"Aye, it is, it's quiet in the summer, no nattering little children running about, no overpompous seventh years demanding you do this or that in this fashion..." He trailed off and sighed, "I come out here when I need to think, the sunset is gorgeous when you watch it from here, it sinks just over the lake and sometimes... sometimes some creatures come to play in the waters of the lake, right there." He pointed to a spot near the Forbidden Forest, a smile on his lips, reminiscing on happier times as he sat there next to Skye, a girl he barely knew, but inherently trusted, she had, after all helped him sort of discover something... He sat up, "That's it!" He cried suddenly, startling Skye enough for her to fall over backwards.

"What? What's 'it'?" She asked, giving him a strange look.

"We'll go off the grounds, stupid Liam, we haven't been off the grounds since... well, I don't remember ever not being on the grounds, never even to Hogsmead. C'mon, we have to go get Lynne." Liam grabbed Skye's hand and dragged her up.

"What in the hell are you talking about, have you gone completely barmy?" Skye asked, starting to pull away.

"No, no, no, no, don't you remember? You said our powers couldn't activate if we were on the grounds, so the simple solution: we go off the grounds! Lynne!! Lyyyynnnnneee!!" Liam bellowed, tumbling into the greenhouse, "C'mon!"

"Liam! What in the hell...!!" Lynne looked over at him, a bewildered expression on her face.

"C'mon, we're skipping class today, Potter, I want you to come too, you can bring your sidekicks if you wish." Liam said breathlessly, turning on his heel and flying out, bolting towards the edge of the grounds, desperate to discover the one thing that their parents had left them: their magical prowess.
Skye raced after the two in front Liam following Harry who knew the ways to go about sneaking out. She couldn't believe that they were even doing this. She decided to take the time to fill in Lynne on what she had found out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"How do we even know this is going to work?" Lynne stopped and looked at her brother.
"We don't but aren't you even curious to know if it is true why else would they say that?" Liam started off again with Lynne on his tail.
"Just how are we going to know? A big sign isn't going to appear and declare it."
As they reached the end of Hogwart's heading to Hogsmead Liam and Lynne both stopped.
"What's wrong?" Harry stopped ahead of them finally realizing no one was following anymore.
"Nothing just got this odd feeling." Liam remarked Lynne nodded and they crossed onto Hogsmead the feeling grew stronger.
Sorry, no time,school
Liam's eyes followed the path up to Hogsmead, for the first time he felt apprehesive about this new power, what if it was Dark? How were they going to control it and why did Dumbledore want it to be kept secret? He quivered with fear and for a moment, what if... No. No more of that, Snape would have sneered at him and told him he was a coward, he didn't take that too well, coward his arse. He stepped across the barrier, his eyes closing of their own accord as his hands stretched to either side of his body.
A strange feeling, like dams being thrown to the wayside, like barriers disappearing, like the ground dropping away and leaving you standing in the middle of nothing right before you fell and fell and fell, never quite sure where the bottom was and not really caring. He gasped, his eyes flying open, his arms dropping as tingling swept his limbs, sparks travelled along his joints, and fire built in his chest, "Lynne..." He muttered, reaching blindly for her hand.
"Gods..." She muttered, stepping next to him, the air around her was a cacaphony of colours, he imagined that he must look quite the same, swirling and pulsing as if it had a life of it's own. Her hand slipped into his and the feelings and colours running crazy, exploding brilliantly, and for a moment it seemed like he had gone deaf and blind, everything went white and it felt as if every particle of his being was being torn apart and being put back together painstakingly slowly and he blacked out.
Skye looked petrified at the two laying on the ground.
"What happened?"
"It must of been the barrier. Didn't you see the colors?" Hermione suggested.
"It must have be a pretty strong barrier. Let's make sure their alright." Harry bent down aside the two.
"They're breathing fine." Skye gave Liam a shake when he opened his eyes all he could see was light. He blinked several times till he could see who was continuosly shaking him.
"Are you alright?" Harry looked at Liam who nodded.
"It felt like my whole body was being taken apart particle by particle then pieced back together. Lynne?" Liam turned to his sister who Draco was shaking awake.
"Liam? Promise me we won't go to Hogsmeade again." Lynne looked around her vision coming to and let out a sigh. "Nevermind."
The group seemed to stare at the two as though they were not of their origin. Liam looked about hiself he had what appeared to be a dark aura shrouding his body as for Lynne she was his polar opposite she was light.
Tonks couldn't belive that she ran into the student when she followed them. She scrambled up and went behind a statue.
"We're not always going to glow like this are we? It would be quite obvious that we left Hogwart's." Lynne rambled worriedly.
"Lynne, it's alittle too late to worry." Liam closed his eyes growing deep in thought. So, this was it. Exactly what did they have to do to use it. He could feel the power surging through him alike never before this power was almost overtaking. It urged him to come out and play with an urge that seemed to only get stronger every moment that passed.
Apparently Lynne had been noticing to because when his eyes opened she was looking into space with a look of question in her eyes.
Lynne could also hear the beckoning call it was almost as though the voice of it was being carried on wind from some unknown person. She looked at everyone around them including her brother.
"Well?" Harry looked at the two.
Liam took a breath, closing his eyes and drawing within himself for a moment, peering at the black fire that now enveloped his aura, prodding it for a moment before searching his head for a spell, saying aloud the first one that came to mind, "Expelliarmus!"
"Liam look out!" Lynne yelled almost immediately afterwards.
Liam's eyes flew open and widened as he saw what looked like a wall of wands come flying towards him, "Oh fu..." He curled up as they began pelting the ground around him, leaving mini-craters in their wake.
"Omigod, omigod, did you see that?! He just disarmed the entire *freaking* villiage!" Hermione gasped.
Lynne was frantically shoving wands out of the way to search for her brother beneath the pile of wands and other odds and ends that had happened to be included in the disarming of Hogsmead. "Liam! Liam where are you?!"
"Here." A whispered voice responded, "I'm gonna have some bad bruising after this... Headmaster." Liam's eyes were focussed on an object behind Lynne's head and as she turned she saw the Headmsater's disappointed blue eyes staring sadly at her and her brother.
"Come, you two, I think it's time you and I had a talk." He said softly.
Harry and the rest who were left standing there exchanged looks. Harry knew this couldn't be good. They had broken a rule not to leave Hogwart's grounds and only a few days after being allowed to attend normal class functions.
"Someone say something." Skye watched them leaving from the look on their faces you'd think of a dog being scolded.
"Harry you do realize that he found us with them. We could be in just has much trouble." Ron exhaled.
"Ron, they could have easily ventured out here without us. And the bigger problem here is returning all these wands to the right places." Hermione stated irritably.
"If I wouldn't have told them what I knew they would of never tried." Skye glanced around feeling something odd. She walked towards a statue ands at down in front of it leaning her head back onto it in thought. That's when she heard a shift of motion come from behind it. She pulled out her wand out from her Gryffindor robe. She jumped around the statue and casted a stinging hex on the whatever it was if anything.
"Tonks!" Skye looked at the girl and raised an eyebrow. It was beginning to piece together now. Skye would talk to the rest of the group later. It seemed someone had to inform Dumbledore of their whereabouts.
Lynne looked from her brother to Dumbledore nervously. She hadn't expected something as great as being able to disarm a whole town.
Dumbledore had been quiet the whole way back to Hogwart's this time as they had passed through where the barrier had been nothign had happened. She had guessed they had taken it down since they were found off grounds. She knew they were in for a good arse chewing by the time the hit his office several teachers had given them both the disapproving look. The one who stood with a grin apon his face was Severes Snape. Lynne hated his dumb smile that he always would do when they were in trouble. Has the office door closed Lynne was tempted to run to it and scream pulling on it to open and shouting spells at it to set them free.
Liam must have had the same idea for he also kept looking back to the door.
Both of their heads shot to attention when Dumbledore begin to speak to them.
"I see you now know what we've been hiding?" He looked at the two. Taking in their facial expressions and nodded before going on.
"Why?" Was Liam's only question, "Why did you find it necessary to hide this from us? Why did you feel the need to lie to us all these years, we trusted you, Headmaster, and you do this to us!" He spat in a voice not unlike Snape's own venomous tones.
Lynne and Liam took on the same look starring at the old man.
"Liam, Lynne your parents were afraid for you when they came here seeking out our help. We took you in your father and your mother died later on the darkness had sought them out in hopes of finding you. We had set up barriers around Hogwart's to keep your powers at bay. We didn't tell you because you were not old enough to understand at the time. I am sorry you are angry, but there is no other way we can help you other than what we have given through teachings and protection as long as you don't cross those walls. The barrier remains there even though you did travel through it, but as long as you are on Hogwart's grounds you will be safe. Do you understand?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Skye's hand flew upward forming a fist and knocked Tonk's off guard as she cringed from the Stinging Hex.

"You!? How could you betray your own friends?" Skye growled grabbing up abit of the girls shirt in her hands.

"Skye." Harry drug the girl back by her waist and looked at her.

"Calm down. I think the stinging hex was enough."

"She is a traitor and to think I thought of her has my friend." Skye stormed off back towards Hogwart's.

Harry helped Tonk's up before heading of with the rest of the group after Skye.

"You twit,"Tonks yelled at Skye."I wasn't trying to stop you I was trying to flollow you. If you hadn't been so caught up you would have seen that I was in the ministry with orders from Dumbledore. Harry knows who I am and we talked about it in the open."

Tonk was so mad. Her friend didn't know anything about magical fighting. You always had to see your target.

Liam nodded as well as Lynne at the Dumbledore.

"Good, I hope that you two will find it is for the best."

Liam bit his lip to stop from replying to the man. Lynne watched the light dancing across the floor tiles getting frustrated it seemed the more they found out about themselves the more that people who hide from them.

"Very well then you are dismissed." Dumbledore waved a hand ushering them off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Skye stopped in her tracks so that was it. Harry had known about Tonks the whole time. It enraged her she stormed the rest of the way to Hogwart's.
Liam's eyes flashed dangerously, he was really beginning to dislike the old, senile, arseinine, man, really he was. His eyes darted to the portrait for the Gryffindors, asking himself in he really wanted to go in or not, facing the potential third degree, no. He moved past, moving towards the Forbidden Forest, going to seek some solace, hide himself in the dark glow that surrounded him, to abandon himself to the powers growing within him every second, even though there were barriers keeping them in check. He could feel the steady trickle of the magic, this foreign power flowing through his body, yet it was somehow familiar, like a long lost friend that you never remember the name of, but you know them nonetheless. He fled the castle, running away, from what he didn't know, perhaps the suffocating prescence of the Headmaster, the overbearing need of doing something, or just to simply get away, to feel the steady pound of his feet against the ground, like his heartbeat against his ribcage, a steady rhythym to beat out against the world.
His breath became ragged and his black aura began to sap the light and colour from the world around him, like a black hole, stealing everything and letting nothing back out. The forest grew thick around him, the cold around him making itself known against the few bits of skin that were exposed, like his arms and face, he was beginning to regret coming without a proper cloak, or at least his duster. He sighed, no use crying over spilt milk, he moved to the nearest tree and climbed up as far as he could without breaking branches, scuttling up close to the trunk and pulling his knees to his chest and gazing p through the branches at the sky, turning pink in the distance as the sun melted beneath its horizon.
~*~
Lynne gnawed her lip, she wondered how Liam was handling things, he wasn't one to be told 'no' and listen very often, she never did of course, but that was another matter altogether. She knew how she felt, she was frustrated at not being allowed to sport these powers of hers, they were given for a reason and she wanted to know why. Why her parents feared them and why she was never allowed to use them, why even the Headmaster seemed afraid of her potential and Liam's, light and dark, black and white, what did it mean? She went to the Fat Lady's portrait, "Is Liam in there?" She asked quietly.
The Fat Lady shook her head, "No, he left at a dead run down that'a'way, dearie. I don't know why, he seemed to need to think."
"Thank you." Lynne said, turning in the direction that the Fat Lady had pointed and gave into a light jog to find her brother.
I hate all the homework I have, sorry
Lynne ran out onto the Hogwart's grounds. She looked around for anyone close perhaps one of them might have seen which way her brother went.
"Excuse me?" Lynne tapped on Harry's shoulder.
"Hey, what happened with Dumbledore?" Harry looked at her concerned.
"Nothing too bad, but um have you seen Liam at all?"
"No, sorry."
"Hermione, how about you?"
"No I haven't either." Hermione frowned.
"Why what's wrong?" Harry looked back to Lynne.
"Nothing, I just have to find him." Lynne sighed.
"He went that way." Skye sighed coming up from behind and pointed towards the woods.
"Thanks." Lynne waved and headed off. Why would Liam go into the Forbiddin Forest? Was he okay? So, many questions were racing through her mind. She had to find him.
Liam awoke with a start, his eyes slowly adjusting to the light around him, suddenly realizing it was morning... no, no it wasn't, the light was coming from beneath him rather than above. He looked down, Lynne was there, moving hesitantly through the soft undergrowth, like she was afraid of what lied within. it didn't help that the black aura around him was absorbing the light she gave off, making it darker than it really was. He smiled, she had come looking for him, more likely than not, and she seemed worried.
"Liam, I know you're there, I can hear you thinking." Lynne said suddenly, amking Liam's grin grow wider.
He dropped from his perch, making her scream and spin, her wand in hand in fear, "Hi, Lynnie." He said, giving her a hug, "Could hear me thinking all the way up there, huh?"
"You think very noisily." She replied, wrapping her arms around him and tugging him back towards the castle, "C'mon, we have to go back, Harry's worried, and so's Skye and all them."
"And you know it wasn't particularily nice of you to give everyone such a fright." Lynne huffed breaking the hug.
"I needed to be alone and clear my mind."
"Well, can you try to do it more quietly next time and perhaps tell me where your going?"
"I'll try. So, what was I thinking?" Liam's smile widened at his sisters smirk.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Change Of Pov~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Skye walked through the halls tossing a few stragelers of hair behind her shoulder. She stood before the fat lady and leaned againes the wall aside the painting.

"Password?" Came the voice of the lady.

"You know what I hate?" Skye sighed and let her books thump to the floor. "All these books and the amount of homework they think you can get through in one night!" Fat ladies brow raised as she looked at the girl.

"And people that just seemt to have this nack for driving you nuts with worry! You know what nevermind I forgot what is was I came here for in the first place!" Skye growled and stomped back down the stairs.

Robin tied her letter to an owls leg and let it out the window. Hopefully she would hear from her brother again soon, ever since he came down with the Thero (very similar to the flue but only magical people get it) he hadn't been writing all that often. She missed him terribly. "Get lost Swift!" Draco said as he entered the room. Robin hastily picked up all of her things and ran upstairs to her dorm.

Lynne's lips curved into a smile.

"You know I have no idea."

"Come on Lynnie."

"And you know I hate it when you call me that."

"Lynnie." Liam taunted. Lynne retorted and raised her wand pointing it at him.

"Don't call me Lynnie!" His little sister standing there with her wand pointed at him made him laugh and think of when they were little. They had been playing outside and he had called her Lynnie for the first time and she persisted to stand there with a pout on her face till he apologized.

"Where's your pout?" Liam grinned.

"Stupifiy!" A dark shade of green and aqua shot from her wand whizzing through the air Liam ducked as it whizzed past his head. He grew silent it was never like his sister to attempt to use magic on him in a serious manner at least.

Lynne's head lowered as she watched a bird fall down to the ground from it's perch within the tree behind her. She bit her lip as she looked around the forest.

"Lynne do you have any idea what you just....but the barrier. It's impossible." Liam near fell over trying to get to her. Lynne stood unmoving her mouth opened in a gap.

"Liam, something's wrong. I shouldn't have been able to do that." Lynne sputtered finally managing to find her voice.

"But, Professor Dumbledore said that we couldn't use our magic inside the barriers."

"Liam, I fear there are no more barriers. I didn't even think about it till now. But, when I came looking for you I don't recall feeling as we did when we went to Hogsmeade." Lynne looked at him.

"Then someone knows we are here."

"What are we going to do?"

"I don't know. But, lets not stay around here." Liam grabbed Lynne's hand dragging her from the forest.
They rushed back up to the school, their feet pounding on the grass as they burst through the doors, grabbing Harry's arm as they ran past.

"C'mon, Potter." Liam gasped.

"Where are we going?" He asked, matching their pace as they thundered up stairs, Hogwarts helping the entire time to lead them on their way.

"Headmaster's..." Liam stopped suddenly, making Harry crash into him from behind, sending the pair crashing down a set of stairs. Liam sat up, his legs were spread on either side of Harry's face and he looked down at the distinctly uncomfortable green eyes, "Not your thing?" Liam asked cocking his eyebrow with a smirk.

"Geroff, Liam." Harry shoved him off and stood, "What happened?"

Lynne came down the stairs, "What the hell was that Liam?"

"Who is the only one who can bring down the wards without the rest of the school knowing?" Liam demanded, directing them towards the Room of Requirement, convinient that they were on the third floor.

"Liam... I don't know! How is this relevant?" Lynne asked.

"The Headmaster, how could I be so stupid...! Malfoy! C'mon, you too I gu... Skye! What...? Bloody hell." He shoved open the door to the Room and ushered them all in, glancing around before he too disappeared behind the door as it disappeared. "There is only one person in the entire school who can take down all the wards on the grounds without everyone else figuring it out, that is the Headmaster. Voldemort (He ignored Draco's and Skye's shudder) would have to take them down forcibly, but the entire school would feel it."

"What are you on about Liam?" Draco asked impatiently.

"The wards, I was out by the forest, the wards don't let Lynne and I use our powers, do they?" He glanced at Skye and she shook her head hesitantly, "No, they don't, but Lynne tried to Stun me... the spell reacted entirely different than they would normally... Harry... Harry come here. I knew I felt something..." Liam grabbed Harry's hand.

"Getting in touch with your homo side, Liam?" Draco taunted half-heartedly.

"Shut. Up." Lynne smacked Draco, "He's doing something."

Draco rubbed the back of his head and sat down on a convinient chair, pulling his legs beneath himself as he watched the two black heads.

"Harry, you need to let me in your head for a few minutes, I have to find something..." Liam said carefully, drawing Harry's conscious mind open with his own, Harry's mental walls dropped, allowing the other wizard into the whirlwind of thoughts and feelings. Liam sorted through them, pretty much ignoring all the little images as they flew by his eyes, instead focussing on a small shine deep in Harry's head. "He has it, Lynne, he has a wall blocking something, power, memories, there's a pulse there, like... like ours." Liam withdrew, "We need to bring them down."

Robin looked up from her books realising that there was something going on around Hogwarts. What could it possibly be? She decided to go and investigate and see what she could find. The scene that soon unravelled itself in front of her was something that she could not understand. Two boys holding hands and one stating "we need to bring them down..." Bring what down? What was going on? Robin tried to turn around and get back to the Slytherian commonroom before anyone noticed, but Draco noticed her.
"What are you doing here Swift?" he said coldly. Robin just froze in terror looking at him.

Draco looked at the girl impatiently awaiting an answer.

Just has she was about to answer a girl came over and looked at Draco.

"Nevermind her. If she ends up being a problem we'll deal with her later. I think they're getting somewhere over here." Lynne looked hopeful.

"Don't worry about me, but what exactly is it your trying to bring down?" Robin stated.

"I'm not explaining anything more till we know you can be trusted." Lynne snapped and headed back over by the two boys who were holding hands.
