A look into dissociation
Monsters

As real as it seems,
I awaken only from dreams
But the events were real,
as the story tellers reveal
Of my exploits I am told,
my behavior uncontrolled
Do I trust my memories,
or are these treacheries?

By description I am cruel,
but how are these actions fueled
I must find the root,
to find why I am a brute
I have committed crimes,
oh so many times
But my will seeks relief,
and looks on in disbelief

This behavior I disapprove,
the cause I must remove
This strain is horrendous,
and my torture endless
I must find a teacher,
or perhaps even a preacher
The answer I must find,
or my fate is assigned

I searched this for years,
and fought through many fears
Only to find in the end,
the answers were within
The monsters do exist,
and the funny twist
Is that I am incomplete,
unless the monsters meet
