Sad love story!
Many people would say children can't fall in love, but this story is about love... in life, and in death

Many years ago, a handsome young boy named Robert walked over to a big red hay barn. He opened the big red doors, awaiting for his eyes to adjust from the light outside. His mouth fell open slowly, as he saw a girl with long auburn hair, sweeping through the air. Her skirt billowed around her, almost concealing the seat of the swing. The swing hung from a loft next to a horse's stall; which was over a long, deep drop far above ground. She looked down and smiled.

"She looks just like an angel," Robert whispered.

"What?" Julia asked, as she brought her swing to a stop.

"Oh, ah, my name is Robert."

" What's yours" he asked..

"Julia," she answered softly.

From that day on they were rarely apart. 'Most would agree' they were too young to be in love; Two 14 year olds just can't feel that way. But two years later they were still together, 16 years old and very much in love. Spring of that year on a beautiful warm night, after pushing Julia on her beloved swing, he took her outside in front of the big, red hay barn that was behind her family's home. There they pledged their love for each other. Afterwards, Robert sat on the grass and gently pulled Julia next to him. He leaned back, she put her head on his arm and they held each other. There was no need for words; just being wrapped in his arms, made Julia feel safe. Suddenly, they saw a shooting star so beautiful and bright, it looked as if they could just reach up and pluck it from the sky. They held their breathe and reached for each other's hand. They made a wish to always be together and to be married as soon as he turned 18. That night they gave each other their first kiss. Two years of holding hands and kisses on the cheek. It seemed so long to wait, but it was so worth it. The moment her lips touched his, he felt like he couldn't catch his breath, but he didn't care. He would hold his breath forever, to feel this way for just one more moment.

When they were both seventeen, Robert went to the big, red hay barn and up to the loft. He decorated it with her favorite flowers and spread petals all over the floor. That was the night they made love for the first time. He held her so tight and whispered I love you, Julia, over and over. As she drifted to sleep, she wrapped her arms around him and whispered I love you, Robert and they spent that night in each other arms, and every night after that for almost a year. They would sneak out of their homes and go up to the loft in the red hay barn next to the horse's stall to make love. Every time felt like the first time, They knew there would never be anyone else who could take each other's place.

On Roberts 18th birthday, two weeks before Julia's, he brought her up to their loft in the red hay barn next to the horse's stall. He bent to one knee and asked his soul mate, the woman he had loved for four years, to marry him. Tears slipped from her eyes and all she could do was shake her head, yes. Robert jumped up and grabbed Julia holding her so tight and breathed deeply, wishing he would never have to set her down. Gently he let her feet touch the floor and kissed her tears.

"I have a gift for you as well." Julia whispered,

With her beautiful green eyes, full of love, she looked up to him,

"we're going to have a child." she smiled.

His heart filled with so much joy, and now it was his turn to cry. He again pulled her into his arms and kissed every inch of her beautiful pale face.

"We can tell our families as soon as I come back from my Grandmother's next month' she smiled.

So excited she jumped into his arms and he kissed her. The kiss went from excitement from their new joy to passion. He slowly removed his jacket and placed it on the floor then softly lowered Julia onto it and they make love. He was so soft and gentle with his touch and kisses even though her fingers on his skin drove him mad. They made love for hours and fell asleep in each others arms never feeling happier.

The next day they had to kiss and bid a sad farewell, as she boarded the train to her grandmother's. As the train started to move she opened the window and cried

"I LOVE YOU ROBERT!!!"

"AND I YOU JULIA"

he called back as he ran beside the train as long as he could, before slowly stopping and watching as it disappeared. He lowered his head and and sadly turned to walk home. That month went by so slowly but on the 30ith day he sat in his room, overwhelmed with excitement. Today he was going to see his Julia and they were going to tell their friends and family about the baby and getting married... He picked up the flowers he had bought that morning and started to arrange them.
"Your favort flowers" he whisperd smiling.

Suddenly his mother ran into his room, She was pale, and her mouth kept opening and closing as tears fell from her eyes.

"Oh my boy...My poor boy." she cried.

"What? Mother, Please? - Please, what's wrong?

Tell me." he whispered, starting to feel sick.

"Julia," she started and stopped.

"What? What?" he screamed in fear. "Tell me now!"

"She...she was - I mean she didn't..."

"Oh my God, Mother please." he whispered, with a cry.

"There was an accident. The train, it...it fell off the track. I .. I'm"

Robert fell to the floor, stunned.

"Julia - is she ok?" he asked, fearing he already knew the answer.

"Oh Baby no - but she didn't suffer, it was so fast..." she wept, "It all happened so fast. The old rail road tracks just rusted through.. There was nothing anyone could have done."

"No.. NO NO I don't belive you..." He spat in anger.

"ROBERT"
where are you going his mother screamed as he ran past her out the door..

"You never did belive in us" he cried back,

But Robert knew. He knew it was true.. He could feel it - he could always feel her - but that part of him felt dead. He ran all the way to the loft in the big red hay barn next to the horse's stall. He looked down and he could see his Julia 14 years old again swinging on that very swing. Her long auburn hair flowing behind her. Her beautiful green eyes closed, probably dreaming of flying. Robert had watch in amazement at such a beautiful being. Then 16, he could see himself pushing Julia on her beloved swing, and their first magical kiss. Crying, He turned looking back into the loft and he could almost see her as she laid in his arms after their first love making, Remembering her incredible skin and her smile, her soft red lips and beautiful warm body.

"God took her from me because such a beautiful creature should not have to live in such an ugly and cruel world". He thought desperatley.

Slowly he tied the old swing around his neck,

"Julia!" he screamed. "I LOVE YOU,"

And he jumped off the loft in the red hay barn next to the horse's stall. Before the darkness took him, he could see a beautiful light and his Julia reaching out for him. As he took her hand, He felt peace, and knew he was home... where he belonged: On the loft in the red hay barn next to the horse's stall for all eternity with his beloved Julia...
