This is an item that i wrote one day when i had no idea of what to do.
It shone the dullest darkest shade of grey
And seemed to run much longer than time
I begged, I pleaded to stay away
Its melody a forgotten wind's chime
It seemed to devour any trace of good
Slowly but surely putting me to sleep
It is not evil, just misunderstood
Like my breath is still or willow does weep
Engulfing me in solitary mist
Boredom by name, denatured it has become
I stand here writhing, I turn and I twist
For those becoming prey to boredom
For who amongst beings has time to mull
If one's wit is blunt and one's mind is dull
