Summary of this DVD...
This is a mystery set in Canada. Nathaniel Parker plays Armand Gamanche, a French Canadian Detective. I got this from Netflix disk because we enjoyed Nathanial Parker so much a DCI Lynley in the Elizabeth George/Lynley mysteries.

He's good here, but different. It is hard to explain. There was a lot of beautiful scenery and horrific violence in this film. We found it hard to follow what was going on, but we enjoyed it and were totally surprised at the ending.

I would recommend it just for the scenery. Autumn in this part of Canada is breathtaking. There was a character of a younger woman police officer that was totally unbelievable and that sort of hindered my enjoyment a bit.
I especially liked...
Nathaniel Parker, although he is growing older, as am I.
The cast of this DVD...
was pretty good. Parker was the standout. The Special Features on the author were weird. She seemed very self-absorbed and enamored of Nathaniel Parker, but who wouldn't be.
