I especially liked...
All the examples! There is a wide range of wonderful examples of each poetical form defined in the book. The book can easily be read for pleasure if so desired.
I didn't like...
The book is a little pricey. Plus, it was published in 1986 and thus a tiny bit outdated.

I'm not really finished with the book. I study each form at a time and read the example poems. Each time I open the book I enjoy what I read.

If you want to understand what a poetical form means, this book is an excellent example.
I don't recommend this Book because...
You may not like this book if you adhere to pre 20th century format. Free verse is here to stay. There has been a melding of the two traditions in today's poetical world.

If you wish to study traditional forms, I recommend this book. If you wish to read a great collection of poetry, I recommend this book.
