Summary of this Book...
A beautiful abbey entitled Redwall! It is a tale of great action and adventure. A dark rat that goes by the name of Cluny the Scourge has become deteremined to take over the abbey and claim it as his own. Inside live the peaceful mice who want no part of any war. But a certain mouse named Matthias sees that defending and defending well is their only chance of survival. This story takes you though the adventures of the Abbey, Matthias, and Cluny!
I especially liked...
Oh, the characters! I swear, I've fallen in love with at least three! *Wink* All of the creatures had their very own features - bravery, honesty, peacefulness, willingness to work, stubbornness, kindness, and soo much more!
I didn't like...
I can't said that I dislikes anything! I guess it was hard at times to get a good picture in my mind the actual, real life size of the characters. Becuase their abbey was huge, and the trees barely reached the walls, yet mice are so small...but it didn't really bother me.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Just sit back and think about it. It was such an involving story and it has such a wonderful ending...I just wanted to start at the beginning again and just let myself be absorbed by the characters and their ways.
This Book made me feel...
Giddy. It's one of those books where you laugh aloud when the characters do, and you become frustrated when something doesn't go as planned. I had to stop myself from reading just for a few minutes to go over what I had read and absorb it becuase I flipped through so fast - I have to say I loved every minute.
The author of this Book...
Looks like a kind man! (His picture is on the back, hehe) Anyway, he really did a great job with the dialect. Each character had a different way of speaking. The accents of the different creatures and languages came through beautifully! I still don't understand half of the things the moles said!
I recommend this Book because...
I loved it, pure and simple! It was simply a great read. If you are looking for something to curl up into and keep you going this is defintely the ticket.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I don't recommend this to people who are going to start reading it with a closed mind. If you honestly think that the idea of reading an entire novel on mice, rats, sparrows, and shrews all running around and talking then chances are you aren't going to like this book. But if you do into with an open mind I can gaurentee you'll soon get past the fact that they are animals and actually be glad of it!
Further Comments...
I'm a fond lover of both Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. This book goes right about there with those two. They are all on my number one favorite spot becuase they are all amazing in their own way. I am certain that if you like either Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter you will love this book! *Smile*

Also, the length is a little long but nothing more than Lord of the Rings. I personally liked the length, simply because I didn't want it to end!
