Summary of this Book...
Sno Qyantrill has recovered, somewhat, from her kidnaping and thrice attempted murder.

Rosie, her case worker, introduces Sno to Felicity Fortune... and Sno finds herself offered a possition as an Apprentice Godmother. She accepts the invitation, and finds herself in Ireland.

She finds Felicity a rather distracted teacher at first... but the two get to know each other better, and know the problems of the people.

And Sno soon finds that fairytales are different for diferent places, but the core ideas in such stories are usually similar...
This type of Book is good for...
Relaxing with. Sit in the armchair and read type of book.
I especially liked...
I really like the imagination that has to go into this type of story. You start considering different characters... one reminded me of sleeping beauty, with all the aunts and uncles present for a baby's Christening, making wishes-- some really commmon, "She'll grow up to look just like her mother..." "She'll be as smart as her father..." when the mean aunt comes in and foretells doom. Then another, who hasn't said anything yet tosses back the comment that hopefully the girl will grow up bright enough to get herself out of trouble. I really admire this imaginative writing. It's facinating to read a very present-day version of a fairy tale...
I didn't like...
Some of the language used. Swear words, etc... sometimes I think the bad language isn't necessary to the story.
The author of this Book...
Usually dedicates her books to Anne McCaffrey, something I found interesting, and usually writes imaginatively.
Further Comments...
I think this book is worth a try. There's a lot of imagination, and excitement. I would suggest buying the first book first though-- that one is called The Godmother, and introduces the main characters. And I would also suggest, that if you aren't sure whether you'll like this book, you buy it second hand.
