A hard working book for the serious novelist. It doesn't mince words, but tells the reader exactly what it will take to get published. This book is written in a 'No Holds Barred' style.

The serious novelist will learn EXACTLY what it takes to be published.
I especially liked...
That Smith didn't mince words, and didn't flower what he wrote.
I didn't like...
He could have been a bit more in-depth. Sometimes his no-holds-barred attitude could be a bit discouraging.

Grit my teeth and dig into the actual BUISINESS of writing.

Determined. It makes the reader see novel writing in a completely different light.

Has been published many times, and is frankly honest in this book.

I believe the things it teaches are what seperate the published novelist from the want-to-be novelist.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I absolutely recommend it to every novelist out there, but I caution that other books should be read in addition to and before this one, to get the depth needed.

I have several 'Bible' books for writers. This one is perhaps the one I refer to more than any of the others. Definitely a buy.
