Summary of this Book...
Christian Young, a vampire, goes to live in a trailer park in an attempt to humanize himself. After coming to the realization that the life he’s lived as a vampire has been based on lies and manipulations. Christian wants to reconnect with that part of himself which is “good.”

Christian meets Jolee who runs a karaoke bar in the local run down town. He is immediately attracted to her, and she to him. After a certain amount of turmoil and angst, the couple gives into their feelings and make love.

Jolee reunited Christian with his vampire family for which he is grateful, however when he realizes that to be together forever with Jolie, he has to make her a vampire, he is unsure she willing to truly commit to him.

PLOT AND PACING

This was well paced, giving the reader a necessary break before building the action and story up again.

POINT OF VIEW

The third person omniscient is used with shifting perspectives much in the style of “Lonesome Dove.”

DIALOGUE

Snappy and sharp.

DESCRIPTIONS

The author gives you just enough to picture the scene in your head without being overwhelming.

THOUGHTS/IMPRESSIONS

This was an easy read. Christian and Jolee are likeable characters that readers can identity with. If you want a book to escape to on a cold winter’s day in front of a warm, crackling fire, this is it. The loves scenes are tastefully done.
