PLOT AND PACING

The pace moves at a moderate level, making it hard to put down. The plot is excellent and keeps the reader in romantic suspense.

POINT OF VIEW

This is told in the first person by Laura.

DIALOGUE

Appropriate to the time period.

DESCRIPTIONS

A little heavy, tends to weigh down the storytelling from time to time.

THOUGHTS/IMPRESSIONS

Laura easily draws you into her world and the reader understands her motivations. It’s a lovely romantic story told in a prosy-like writing style which captures the essences of historical romance well.
