Summary of this Video Game...
Leon Kennedy is a CIA agent who is in a foreign land attempting to rescue the president's daughter, who was recently captured by a group called the Los Illuminados.

Kennedy must fight hordes of near-zombie enemies, and some huge bosses in order to save her, but he has the technology. The game's arsenal boasts standard handguns and shotguns, and also machine guns and rocket launchers. Plus, you will occasionally get help from outside sources (think helicopters with huge gatling cannons attached).

But there is a darker truth to this affair, which begins when Leon wakes up to find himself injected with some type of parasite, which will eventually turn him into one of the Los Illuminados.
This type of Video Game is good for...
People who don't mind being creeped out or scared suddenly, and especially fans of shooting games.
I especially liked...
The gameplay is excellent, and it has amazing replay value. On your second time through, you get to keep your weapons from the previous run, and there are even new weapons to buy. (How does an infinite rocket launcher sound?)
I didn't like...
I'm not a huge horror fan, so some of the creepier parts weren't too cool. But, even such, it's nothing to get too worked up about. Anything that creeps you out can be taken care of with a few bullets.
When I finished playing this Video Game I wanted to...
Immediately play it again.
This Video Game made me feel...
Creeped out and elated that I got to blow away the things that creeped me out.
The creator of this Video Game...
Is a respected video game company, and does excellent work.
I recommend this Video Game because...
It is the first game in a while that kept me completely addicted the whole way through.
I don't recommend this Video Game because...
Some parts may be a little scary for some people. At one point, a burning man bursts out of a cabinet and latches onto you, with no warning at all. If you can deal with that, this game is for you.
Further Comments...
- This is the first Resident Evil game I played, and I loved it so much that I have since picked up all the games I can. (My collection currently includes RE0, RE1, RE2, and RE4, and it is growing.)

- No matter who you are, this game is worth at least renting. Even if you're not a big shooter fan, this game may still appeal to you. It starts off vey slow-paced (you have plenty of time to get used to aiming and such), and it is not first-person, save a few weapons, but that is only when aiming. If you aren't aiming your gun (holding the L button), you see everything.

- It is not a short game by any means. My first run-through took nineteen hours and three minutes.

- This game will put you in your place as a gamer. I consider myself rather good at most games, and I died 48 times on my first run-through. (It keeps track.)
