Marley is nothing spectacular. He is a rebel of sorts, and needs a lot of love and attention. This book is about adopting an adorable pet, and learning to love it despite the obstacles. It demonstrates the joys of pet owning and the reward that comes from making your new pet a part of your family.

Anyone who owns a pet, or is considering adopting.
I especially liked...
The fact that Marley was "just an average dog", no super hero...no "lassie-ish" qualities.
I didn't like...
I enjoyed everything. There is a very unfortunate event, and it is very sad...but the book was great over all.
