Summary of this Book...
Bugle Ann is the finest foxhound in the country. When she disappears while foxhunting, suspicion lands on a belligerent neighbor.
This type of Book is good for...
I only finished it because it was short. The storyline didn't engage me at all, probably due to the one dimensional characters and simplistic plotline.
I recommend this Book because...
If you are a fan of foxhunting or dog stories, you'll probably enjoy this. But be warned, it's more about the people than the dogs. "Where the Red Fern Grows" is a far superior book.
I don't recommend this Book because...
The characters were flat. There is a stereotypical romance between two families at odds. The main characters were only slightly more defined than the marginal characters. The writing style was average - it seemed a bit mechanical at times. Emotionally, the story didn't do anything for me.
