The subtlety in some of the humor is too great to try to explain. The piece 'Times Roman Font Announces Shortageof Periods' is one of the most ingenious bits of comedy ever written
Further Comments...
The first story 'Writing is Easy!' should be required reading for anyone trying to write something funny. There are many stories(Dear Amanda, Changes in the Memory After Fifty, Taping My Friends to name a few) that still make me laugh after multiple readings.
This book is the reason I like to write.
