This historical novel fills out the Biblical account (recorded in the Third Book of Kings in the Old Testament) of Jeroboam's exile in Ancient Egypt. The young Jeroboam was forced to flee to Egypt when King Solomon put a price on his head. When Solomon died, Jeroboam returned to his native land and became the first king of Israel.
