We start at the very beginning, with ordinary wizard Silas Heap coming home to his wife, six sons and new son (seven in all) when he discovers a pale infant in the snow. Pitying the child, he brings her home with him, only to find that his biological newborn son Septimus has died. This is only the beginning of a fantastical, mystical and magykal adventure when the infant gril, named Jenna, is discovered to be the lost princess and Septimus is found- alive! Follow the mishaps, mayhem and magic of the ExtraOrdinary Wizard, the new princess, a ex-Young Army advocate and his family.

Those who like fantasy, and those who like fairy tales.

I especially liked a part where Marcia (the ExtraOrdinary Wizard) taught the kids a few basic spells and their troubles are laughter-inducing.

Be a wizard!

This highlighted the concept of love and family a little bit, and especially since we're in the midst of this holiday season, it made me grateful to have a family.

It gets a little dry at parts, but it gets amazing if you keep pushing through. Sometimes Angie Sage describes the settings too much when the characters needed it. This book doesn't have very good imagery and it was difficult for me to visualize everything.

Don't brush it off thinking it's another cheesy magic book- this one's good!
