This long and engaging game begins with the young and handsome Dart. He's always looking for a fight, but has a kind heart. This spiky haired boy with red armor starts his journey to rescue his childhood sweetheart, who had been imprisoned in a castle. On his way to rescue her, he meets a gallant knight, who is trying to help end the current war, and they join forces. Dart learns that he is a Dragoon. A Dragoon is a human who has the spiritual power of dragons. Along his journey, he meets others' like himself, discovers the horrifying past, and does his best to persevere against the forces of evil. What evil lurks within his past, and what are the other Dragoons' stories?

Great for at least 100 hours of story filled fun. (That's a lot, isn't it?) This game is something you will definitely be immersed in. You won't want to put it down, right from the start.

I especially liked the battle system. It's a bit tough to master, but it's engaging for the player. I also LOVED the storyline. It's so interesting and packed with mystery, romance, and tragedy. The graphics and cinema scenes are absolutely stunning. Wonderful for a PS1 game. I'd say this rivals the FF series. It's also a close favorite to Legend of Legaia for me.

I wanted to play another... too bad they never came out with a sequel. I'm still hoping!

It made me feel happy, sad, joyful, stunned... etc. A wide range of emotions. I actually cried during part of it. Like I said before, it's got a great storyline.

I recommend the game because it's a truly fantastic game for all RPG lovers. The storyline, art/graphics, and gameplay are all fantastic. Lots of minigames and side stories.

I will always hold this game dear to my heart, and it's one of the main reasons I think PS1 games are some of the best games out there. It's a classic and a definite must have.

Note: Four discs long, so it contains a lot of hours of gameplay.
