Summary of this DVD...
This movie is at the same time Terminator 4 and the prequel to the original Terminator movies.
A human who has received a death sentence gets turned into the first cyborg as an attempt by the machines to create a robot that can infiltrate the human resistance. John Connor and Marcus (the cyborg) have a back and forth of trust issues until they figure out what is best for both of them.
This type of DVD is good for...
Casual entertainment. Must be OK with action violence and harsh peril.
I especially liked...
The only time in the movie when a woman was threatened to get raped the bad guys got what was coming to them before they could act.
The CGI version of a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger as a human/cyborg/terminator prototype.
I didn't like...
The movie as a whole didn't stir a lot of emotions within me. So, there isn't anything in particular for me not to like.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Go to sleep. It was late.
This DVD made me feel...
Amused. Although it is older than Avatar, it reminded me of a mixture of Mad Max, the older Terminator movies, Tank Girl, Johnny Mnemonic, and Avatar.
The cast of this DVD...
Sam Worthington, Christian Bale, and Helena Bonham Carter gave star power to the movie. The movie is CGI heavy, so it really doesn't matter too much who played what. But everybody filled their roles well.
I recommend this DVD because...
You can sit back and relax while the world get saved. It's simple and easy to follow. The story is a straightforward mission to save John Connor's dad so he can go back into the past and meet Sarah Connor.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
Don't watch it if you want your movies to have deep meaning and leave you changed. Otherwise perfect popcorn fare for the rest of us.
