This is a story of two sisters. One is a psychiatrist who failed her patient and the other is a small town sheriff who stayed in their home town. They come together to help a lost child who wandered into their town from the woods.

anyone who enjoys reading about relationships between sisters and how they change over the years.
I especially liked...
the relationship between Julia and Alice and how it slowly develops.
I didn't like...
the fact that what happened to Alice is skimmed over and so vague.

read more words by Kristin Hannah. She knows how to engage a reader and tell a good story.

sad for Alice and what she endured.
