Summary of this Book...
I love poetry books. This book is no exception. With style and grace, Bobbie G. Ward, known exclusively as Tornado Day to us all here at writing.com, gives us a flight of words and meaning that catches the uncommon and makes a reality out of what we might call "Bobbie's Philosophy". She gives us optimism, genuine relief of pain and courage, and sends us to a world of poetry that captures heaven and its components while at sometimes earthy and always magical. Most of all, Bobbie is what we want to say all about love.
This type of Book is good for...
This book is good for searching the soul. I love to relax with a book and this one does it for me. Lots of times I will pick up a poetry book and get bored with it almost immediately. Let Nothing Be Normal kept my attention and has limitless possbilities for rereads. I know that on another day in another frame of mind, I might read it differently.
I especially liked...
I liked the fact that this book was not obscure or high-handed. It opens up as good poets will do. Without pretense, without being fakey or being too intelligent. The book was well-organized in sections and you could relate to what she wanted to tell you by watching out for signposts. She did not presuppose God in a high-handed way, and yet gave us messages of good tidings and level-headed emotions and sentiments to an other being.
I didn't like...
I liked each of the poems. Some more than others.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to hold this book as a treasure. Although I may find it good for a friend to borrow or buy, it will be hard to part with.
This Book made me feel...
I felt transcended, and emotional about the book. There were personal thoughts of mine that collected with the poems readings and it gave rise to a marvelous place in time.
The author of this Book...
I am sure many writers on writing.com know Tornado Day as a dedicated member who gives of herself to others and speaks so often of love and love's gestures that her poems leak through her image as if they were made for her. I have not stressed enough, I guess, that all of her poems come from love and what love is. That might be the best we can say of Bobbie G. Ward.
I recommend this Book because...
Love makes the world go 'round. This book proves it.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I can't complain with someone so well-rounded as a poet and woman of whom I feel is ahead of her time.
Further Comments...
I would recommend this book of poems for any of our authors to buy.
