Summary of this Book...
Maybe it is just me, since the reviews on Amazon are averaging to 4.5 stars, but I found serious flaws in this book. Truth is, I almost stopped reading it, which is not my usual habit, but I didn't because I wanted to give the writer the benefit of a doubt. The only redeeming factors, however, are the successful sex scenes and the gripping action in the suspense scenes.

The story is about a pretty psychic, Ashley, who sees the ghost of the wife of a man, Nathaniel. The psychic has never met Nathaniel, but the ghost asks her to help her husband. After finding the place from an image the ghost provides, the psychic goes to the man's house unannounced. Then the story takes on. This is the beginning, and as a hook, it is all right, but then starts the animated, angry exchange between Nathaniel and Ashley, lacking reason, and this type of dialogue between them resurfaces throughout the book repeatedly.

Not only that, I also found to be unconvincing and abrupt their first kiss, their sleeping in the bed together for the first and second times without any romantic/erotic involvement although they are dying for each other, plus a few other actions in the plot.

Most importantly, the two protagonists' actions and behavior are not in character, at least some of the time. In addition, twists in the plot seem to spring on the reader out of nowhere or without basis or sufficient reason. For example, Mike the detective-friend warns that Ashley is being stalked, but we don't know, for quite a few pages, from where he gathered this information or who the stalker is or why he is stalking Ashley. Actually, until after the end, nothing is written on how Mike gathered the original stalking information, except for the fact that he is a detective and he can do it, almost like God. This alone leaves the reader wondering.
This type of Book is good for...
noticing how not to write.
I didn't like...
The author's approach to writing. In addition to the lack of editing, the characterization and the construction of the story are highly problematic.
Further Comments...
I neither recommend nor not recommend this book, as everyone's reason for reading books like this may be different.

As for me, I have never read a plot so pushed and contorted out of reality and unfitting to its characters by any other author.

In general, I don't rate a fully written novel with too few stars, in deference to the author's enthusiasm, but this is not a first book by this author, and she has won some acclaim, according to Amazon.
