Summary of this Book...
Charlie West woke up to his life in shambles. Tied to a chair and tortured, he struggles to figure out how he got there.

The last thing he remembered is a normal day at high school. Friends, karate and the girl of his dreams... he lost it all and he doesn't know why. There are many questions he wants answered but first he has to survive long enough to ask the questions.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone looking for an action focused young adult novel that is fast paced.
I especially liked...
The main character and the concise writing of the story.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Get the sequel because book one ends without answering all of the questions that it created throughout.
I recommend this Book because...
It is a good read overall despite the not answering all questions provided in the first book. The character is likeable and makes the reader want to find out not only how he survives but what happened that he doesn't remember.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Doesn't answer all of the questions it sets up. Not quite a stand alone book because there are promises made in book one that will be answered later in the series but if you don't consider the sequels then too much is left unknown.
Further Comments...
It does include an interesting aspect that helps hint that despite the evidence Charlie West is still the hero. While information mounts against him, no matter how shoots their guns at him (cops or villains), he doesn't get hit once. That is a total this is the hero type of move.

Also, it's YA so technically not 18+ but because of the amount of action and fights, I put it at 18+ for WDC focus but teens could read this one, especially boys but girls might like it too.
