In this book, the reader follow's Dex's point of view which spans the period between two of her other novels, Lying Season (book 4) and On Demon Wings (book 5). We see him as he spirals out of control and fights against the madness that threatens to overtake him. He soon begins to get back into shape and he is determined to get her back. Soon it becomes imminent that Perry needs rescued and Dex is determined to do all he can to save her.

This book is great for anyone who has read from the beginning of the Experiment in Terror series. It explores things from Dex's point of view and shows how things are for him as the books progress forward.

I really liked seeing how things were from his point of view and learning that he suffered just as much as Perry.

Has created a brilliant couple of characters that really resonate with me with their spark and witty banter.

It's an excellent part of the series, well written and well worth the read.
