Maddie Springer and her LA Detective, Ramirez, are back and at the baseball game. This time Maddie finds herself involved in the investigation of the girlfriend of the rookie MVP player of the LA Stars. When Ramirez is suspended from the case, he watches the home front while sending Maddie out to investigate. She has added motivation to find the killer since the deceased was found dead in her 'faux dad's' beauty salon's tanning booth. She needs to save his business' reputation!

This is another in the 'high heel' series of humorous, detective novels. These are especially fun, light, relaxing books and stand alone well. I believe this is #8 in the series.

This installment of a series is another easy books to read. It's a great book to escape to and as long as you are open for the crazy antics that what happen throughtout, you will also find these books fun.

This is simply a fun book. It's easy to read. It didn't really matter who committed the crime, yet it can keep you guessing along the way.

The author, Gemma Halliday, has a easy writing style. She keeps her plots and characters simple which makes for a relaxing read every time.

I've found these books highly entertaining. There isn't anything complicated about the story lines and they are very fast and easy reads. They are great escapes from the everyday and take you into situations you would probably never encounter in every day life. Some books just want to have fun! These do that.
