Who says cats are aloof? Cats are the most lovable and loving creatures. Just ask the contributors of letters to this wonderfully put together book by Lisa Erspamer.

This book is in hardcover, 176 pages on glossy paper with absolutely stunning cat photos. The letters are sent from the cats' human companions with some of them about how a cat saved the owners' lives, how the love of cats force people to overlook the cat hair and shredded things, what cats sometimes do to make the owners crazy and yet how much they are loved despite all that naughtiness. All the letters are full of love and adoration for the cats.

This is one book that doesn't need too much substance to be adorable. Just the photos alone turned me into mush. Then in reading each letter, I could imagine the stories behind each cat, especially those handicapped cats, sick or missing a limb.

The book is pretty enough to grace the middle table in a living room or it would definitely make a great present for a cat lover.
