Dennison Crestmar is the second son of an Imperial High-Duke. Unlike his elder brother, Varion, Dennison is no military genius.

Where Varion Crestmar has lead fleet after fleet, crushing rebellion in the furthest reaches of the Empire, Dennison has been made a non-commanding officer aboard Kern's spaceship. Kern forces Dennison to re-play every one of Varion's battles - over and over - making him the Empire's foremost expert on his own hated brother.

Has also written the Mistborn series, the Stormlight Archive series, and Alcatraz Vs series, among many others.

It is quirky and quick - although the twists are predictable, they are still hugely enjoyable.
