A woman named Cecilia finds a hidden letter that was written by her husband more than a decade ago. The letter is addressed to her and should be opened in the event of her husband's death. Cecilia wants to respect her husband's privacy, but that little inner voice tells her she should open the letter. Because of her husband's strange behavior Cecilia finally opens the letter and learns his deepest, darkest secret.

Because of this she is plunged into a battle of good vs. evil and finds that she is forced to take sides. Even so, she struggles with her decisions because inadvertently two other women are drawn into the mystery. All three of them are affected in one way or another.

The story is one of penance...an eye for an eye...always do the right thing...mistakes can be made...all very intriguing.

This is chick lit. I think any Mom would enjoy this book.

This book gave me some things to think about. I wasn't sure how it would end and kept trying to figure that out. Even though it didn't end as I suspected it was a very satisfying read.
