Scaredy Squirrel is a little lonely, but he's a little afraid to go outside and make a new friend. A squirrel like him could easily be bitten by a walrus, bunny, beaver, piranha, or even Godzilla! One day, he finds someone who is "safe", at least, according to his standards! This goldfish has a bubbly personality, is squeaky clean, quiet, AND has no teeth. Perfect! He makes the final preparations to go down his tree and meet this new friend, but once he's out, he encounters a dog! The dog chases Scaredy Squirrel everywhere- until Scaredy decides to play dead. Two hours later, he realizes, that dog just wants a friend! So Scaredy Squirrel introduces himself, then begins chasing the dog. After a day of fun, Scaredy decides to change his definition of the perfect friend.

Pre-K through 1st grade

Scaredy Squirrel is definitely easily scared, but he has an adventurous side, too! He's willing to overcome some of his fears.
