While on a spaceship heading for a new-founded colony, five thousand passengers and crew are in stasis pods. Sometime during this journey, the ship is hit by space debris and this affects one of the pods, causing this passenger, Jim, to awake ninety years ahead of time. After a year of living alone on the ship, he discovers a female passenger-Aurora. Now he is faced with the decision of whether he will awake her to have some company, thus condemning her to die with him on the ship. He brings her out of stasis and they become a couple.After learning about the real reason she is awake there is tension between the two passengers, only to be placed aside when the ship shows signs of catastrophic failure. Forced to work together, Aurora finally understands how difficult a decision Jim had to make. He explains to her there is a way for her to join the remaining passengers and live but that would mean they would not be together, she opts not to go into stasis. Choosing to spend their lives together alone on the ship.
