I was surprised at how honest, forthcoming, and touching the first part of the book was. The author's formative experiences with her sister's suicide and her struggles growing up were way more raw and thought-provoking than I thought they would be. I was really impressed. The last half of the book, though, was full of fairly generic advice that, while interspersed with some personal anecdotes, felt like a rehash of a lot of other self-help/advice books out there. The first half was 5-stars, the second half was 3-stars, so overall I'd place this firmly as a 4-star book. Definitely worth reading for the first half, if nothing else.
