Summary of this Book...
This the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille who lived in 18th century France. Left for dead by his young woman in her twenties, he was rescued and taken to cloister of Saint-Merrie. Jean-Baptiste had no scent, but he had a gift of memorizing other scents and his nose led him on a terrifying tale of horror as a perfumer and serial killer.
I especially liked...
The plot was original, unlike many books I've read about serial killers. His MO was horrifying and showed the depravity of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille's mind. .

Uncomfortable and freaked out.

The narrative was long and repetitious, perhaps because it was a translation. The original book was written in German.
