This book is the 1897 book written by Bram Stoker. There is a recent book written by his great grandnephew, Dacre Stoker, which includes Bram as a primary character. It talks about Bram's growing up and the events that influenced his writing of this book. I recommend reading Dacre Stoker's Dracul prior to reading this.

In this book, Bram Stoker is not a character. He is solely the author. He chronicles the story of Dracula and his move to England as a group of humans try to find and destroy him. Bram Stoker didn't invent Dracula, but he did set many of the "official" rules about him--no reflection in mirrors, repulsed by garlic and blessed crosses, etc. Not only did he make Dracula a famous figure in literary history, but he brought about other figures such as the vampire hunter, Professor Abraham Van Helsing, a recent famous TV show vampire hunter.
This type of Book is good for...
Those who like mild horror (likely won't keep you up at night, but it is a bit creepy in places), gothic, Victorian, or vampire stories.
I especially liked...
I especially liked the writing style as well as the peek into Victorian times.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
See what else he had written, but there were so many different copies of Dracula that I gave up. lol
The author of this Book...
Brought about a new character in literature. While he didn't invent Dracula, Bram Stoker definitely brought him to reader's interest. Allegedly, this story is inspired by real events in his life. Read Dacre Stoker's Dracul for more on that.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a literary classic that is fun and exciting!
