is Michel Desmarquet. He was born in France in 1931 and died in Vietnam in 2018, I believe. He served in the army and was living in Australia at the time of his encounter.

To believe or not to believe, I suppose that is the question. I choose to believe in a higher good, a higher purpose, in free will to make better choices. It's not easy, but it does require one to critically think about their experiences. If anything, I would have loved for the book to have been longer. Samuel Chong, who visited with Desmarquet, is now a great person to seek out regarding the book.
