Whose idea was it to put this miserable time chagne earlier in the year? Daylight savings time is an evil invention from Hell!

What is with the long nitpicky public reviews lately? Some of them are probably about three times the length of the story they are reviewing. It's one thing to be thorough and another to be obcessive!

The other night I watched a show on animal planet about sharks. The announcer said great white sharks were "voracious" and I thought he said "racist". Now I have this mental picture of great white sharks marching around in sheets burning crosses in the neighborhoods of other fish. I know they might have trouble burning crosses under water, but I thought of it anyway!

My brother-in-law and his wife stayed in our house while we were gone last week. They left us a box of chocolates with a note that said "Happy VD". We both have dirty minds because Valentine's Day was not the first thing either of us thought of!

The groundhog saw his shadow which means six more weeks of winter. Yay, only six more weeks! Where I live, winter isn't usually over until May!

Me: It's time to get up.
Him: O'ay, I geh up.
Me: It's 9:30. Do you want to take a shower?
Him: A shower? What's that?
Me: You know, a shower. When you stand under the water and wash.
Him: 9:30 is the fish hour?
Me: Never mind.

Sometimes I think I should try to write a story without a twist or a poem that doesn't rhyme. The twists and the rhymes keep finding their way in all by themselves with no help from me so I give up!

Am I the only person who gets Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden mixed up?!

It is not hard for me to review badly written items. I think I am pretty good at pointing out what can be improved in a nice way. For me, the hardest items to review are those that are very well written but I don't like them. For example, I hate sad stories and I would never read one by choice. I don't know what to say when I have to review a tearjerking story that is perfectly written. I never say this but a truly honest review would be "This is perfect, but I hate it!"
