Every country has its prestigious traditions.
Some of those are our favorites.
In the community you live now enumerate
the good traditions you and your family are
anxious to celebrate.

I am not particularly imbued with or captivated by tradition on a personal level. I find traditions are interesting to analyse and look at from a historical social/ psychological point of view.

In England there is a lot of traditions. Guy Fawkes night is an interesting one, celebrating a mercenary who had come back from war to blow up King James 1st and he hoped, most of parliament. The impetus being persecution of the Catholics.

Quite a convoluted situation and circumstance now reduced to {no one really knowing the details of Guy Fawks night} popping along to watch an effigy of a man burn on top of a bonfire and pretty lights exploding in the sky.

I think this may be an example of the key to why man keeps making the same mistakes. The majority do not know the history of things, or why things are the way they are and so have no hold or understanding on where to begin to change it.

Ponder the spectre of yourself as one human being in the over six billion people on Earth.
We are so minute as to be nonexistent. And yet, we have the power to visualize, to imagine the entirety of the cosmos.

For blog project

The Cosmos and Me...

In my splendid isolation, I look up at the night sky and I feel the connection, like a cool wind breezing through my cells. My mind searches - We are all Star Stuff- for the rest of me. I watch particle after particle forming the story of 'We'.

The myriad of time and space passing is an awesome thought to try to hold. I feel how small I am as I begin to understand the coat tail of how big existence is. Yet I know, and history has proved that one soul, one man or woman can change the whole world.

As I electrify my mind key and it stars to turn with the energy of thought, the synpases spark and sparkle. The realisation dawns that my glory day is every day. As consciousness shifts from the dimension of dreams to reality- so called. I breath air and feel it's presence forcing my lungs to draw the chemical infusion of life around my body.

My limbs all connect with my brain impulses perfectly as I focus my mind on the days tasks. I am a mirical indeed. I give thanks for existing, for being healthy, for being able to think clearly, for the fact I am in no pain, that I have food to eat and a shelter over my head. I make a mental note not to complain, with the small fussy thoughts that try to clutter my head. The light of existance is the glory of all my days.
