Well I used to think my life was totally boring, after starting this journal I've just come to realize it's boring in an interesting way... Come one, come all, and read the life and times of the poet Darká, and then head on over to my poems folder and enjoy some poems (even if they are usually dark and morbid and depressing, and this hasn't enticed you to go read them yet!?). | So I'm up at the college today and I see this guy I went to HS with Joe G. And I'm thinking whoa, what's he doing here, didn't he go to some rich kid college cause his parents are both lawyers and all. Then I thought, oh yeah, probably underachieving, drugging out or whatever. So that was freakin' weird. Oh well. I'm still trying to get the Journeys site fixed. | Well today was interesting to say the least. I'm still recovering a little from an asthma attack I had early monday morning (like 12:00 midnight). And though I wasn't planning to go to any classes today I dragged myself to the college for Calc cause we had a test and I didn't feel like making it up some later time. That test SUCKED!!! Even this kid Nate who is übergood in math had trouble with it and I noticed Sarah doing the same thing I kept doing, flipping through the test adding up how many points I wasn't gonna get for the blank questions. Nate said he even made stuff up. This is gonna need a curve (I hope) a really big curve. Then to top it ALL off I get home and find out the Yankees lost the first game in the playoffs, well guess what Minnesota, they'll come from behind and win three straight and kick your ass!!! | Well I was one of those lucky folk fortunate enough to live in New York state. Which means at 4:15pm EST I lost my power, along with most of the NE and some of Canada. Luckilly we got it back sooner than most at 9:00pm EST. Let me tell ya, it sucked. At first it just sort of powered down and thing tried to stay on but couldn't fully come on. My comp tried to reboot, my printer tried to reset, my VCR tried to turn on. At one point the VCR ejected the tape in it (weird) and the printer, which re-aligns the cartirdges whenever it's turned on, went psycho and the cartridges rushed back and forth, it sounded like a machine gun. We had to go around and turn everything off. Though most things couldn't turn off because there wasn't enough power for them to register the off command. So we had to trip all the surge protecters to get things off. The radio stations all died one by one with a mere few left in the final hours of the blackout. Sirens could be heard every now and then. Malls evacuated because stores had no cash registers (which all rely on computers and internet sometimes) and because most stores electronically locked up. And they say all this is because of a simply bolt of lightening. I'm slightly not believing that. Anyway, the whole grid shut down. Which it shouldn't have because there are safe guards for that type of thing, guess they didn't work to well. Oh well, at least I got power now. Have fun, cherish lighting, and AC, and all that good stuff. Manana I go to KevN's house and we do stuff, mostly discuss important issues concerniing our comic.
