Heads up that for the mean time I'm moving to Deviantart. I just don't have the money for a membership at the moment, at least not without my roommates asking questions about the budget. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I also feel like Deviantart has a far bigger audience, and that it's very empty here, which is both a boon and blessing.

You know you can earn GPs for your membership by reviewing, entering contests with GP prices (like "The Writer's Cramp"

, posting in interactives that pay, etc. Lots of people earn enough GPs for a Premium membership without paying a penny of their own money.

I suspect one of the reasons you feel like you don't have an audience here is that you probably don't have a lot of fans and probably haven't fanned a lot of people. When you single click a person's Plus Sign, you set them as a favorite, but that's private and only you know. When you double click, you see the megaphone and become a fan. They are notified and some folks, like me, will reward you with GPs. Other folks will automatically fan you back. Though I think most folks don't actually do either.

Anyway, once a person has clicked your plus at least once, they'll start seeing your notes on their Personal Newsfeed. The Personal Newsfeed is the default when we click Newsfeed. But there are so many more people out there that we never see if we don't make an effort to interact. There are lots of ways to meet other folks on here, including chatting on the Community Newsfeed. The Community Newsfeed shows you what everyone else is posting, not just your little circle of friends whose plus you have clicked. It shows you what everyone is posting (within your rating limit) so it's a great way to see what else is going on, we well as a great place to chat and meet folks and eventually make friends with people whose plus you want to click and who want to click yours. New Bellatrix chapter coming up. Should be there by the time you finish reading this. Not a lot of sex at the begining, and a bunch of exposition, but when you struggle with writers block you have to go where your mind takes you.

I finally finished the Lillian chapter. I planned for a much bigger build up to the surprise, but writer's block got me bad, and I needed to get past it.
