I fell in love with a girl on the internet.
Were I a gambler, this outcome would not have my bet.
She's so suave, and cool,
while I am but a hopeless fool.
Talking to her makes me laugh and smile,
more than I have in such a while.

Though I have never felt her touch,
I do not pretend as such.
In my dreams I hold her near,
as I whisper sweet nothings in her ear.
Though when morning comes and I wake,
I know naught but a faint ache.

My heart is pounding inside,
but my time, I shall bide.
I don't want our time to sour,
just to savor every hour.
I yearn to take every chance
for the one who makes me want to dance.

We are on Earth for such a short trip,
it makes no sense to fear a slip.
Even so, I go slow,
in the hopes that love will grow.
I am a die hard romantic,
my gestures so eccentric.
