This is the thing I've been working on lately. I'm using this "por qua" myth as a world building tool.

TAUROID WORLD:

Description: Around a small yellow star the gods found a whole bunch of gravel. It was floating about, not doing much. The gods said to themselves "lets build something outa these rocks!" So it was done, after a lot of debate and a missed lunch, Tauroid World was born. Because the gods hadn't eaten in a while Tauroid world looked like a donut or a bagel depending on which god you asked.

"No one likes a dry bagel," said the god of oceans, rivers and lakes. So the Gods caused giant gobs of ice to hurtle through the gasses above Tauroid World till bodies of water were on top of and inside the rocks.

The gods looked at what they had made and saw that it was good but not very interesting. They said to themselves "Let us make a place thats alive." So the gods took rocks made of special materials that contained a spark of life and heaved them at Tauroid World. This was the hard part with a lot of hurry up and wait.

No one checked for a long time but the Gods came back and looked. Tauroid World was covered in all manner of sea monsters, dragons and small furry things. They said among themselves "Verily, theres some terrifying crap down there! But we do like the furry things and maybe the dragons wouldn't be so bad if they were smaller and covered in feathers."

So the Gods found a mighty boulder the size of a mountain and hurled it at Tauroid World. A great Cataclysm was caused; fire rained from the sky, waves of tremendous size swept across Tauroid World, clouds of ash covered everything.

The Gods said to themselves "Krikey! Better them than us! Let us never do that again! We will watch until the dust has settled and see."

The skies of Tauroid World cleared and life recovered. Yea and the sea monsters had died, the dragons had gotten smaller and grown feathers, the furry things had survived. The Gods saw this and that it was better. They also saw that some of the furry things were smarter than the others.

The Gods said of the smarter ones "We will take these and put some of ourselves in them. That our children might inhabit this world." Now the Gods were varied in appearance and from this variation sprang the differences in the inhabitants of Tauroid World.

Once they had completed their works, the Gods saw what they had built and that it was good. And they left it the world to their children and The Gods Rested.
