Writing.com might be small, but it's a lovely, welcoming place

Small? *Laugh* There are over a million registered members. I think you might be looking in the wrong areas. *Bigsmile*

One place to see more of what's going on is the Community Newsfeed. When you click Newsfeed, you are taken to your Personal Newsfeed by default. Here you only see what's posted by WdC and by people whose plus sign you've clicked once or (preferably) twice until you see the megaphone. (Twice is better because it sets you as a fan of theirs and they are notified. Some of us, like me, reward new fans, so being a fan is better than setting someone as a favorite of yours with only 1 click because they aren't notified and can't reward you, if they do that.)

On your Personal Newsfeed, click "View the Community Newsfeed" at the top of your Personal Newsfeed. On the Community Newsfeed, you'll see what everyone is posting (within your rating limit), not just your tiny part of WdC. *Wink* Mind you, not everyone posts on there, mostly the same folks, but they're usually the more active members. They will often post activities they have going on.

You can also find more things to do through the Community tab on the left. Click Contests if you want to enter some contests and click Activities for challenges, fundraisers, and other activities.

I run a challenge, "The Contest Challenge. Enter 1 contest a month from the highlighted one each month, then post proof you entered by linking to the forum post where you entered with {post:#######}. After 12 consecutive months and you "win!"
I ran out of characters. *Laugh*

WELCOME, etelan! *Hug1**Smile**Hug2*
