I had an idea for my Nanowrimo... then I thought "what about THIS idea?" so now I don't know . One I kind of have a plot and stuff for, the other would be just... an adventure in the dark I guess?

I'm in a similar boat. And that boat has a bed in it. Also, I live in the boat.

There's a saying that it takes a villiage to raise a family, and while many people believe that has died in this new millenial age, you just have to look closer.

Kids can form pretty powerful, lasting bonds with each other and if they are lucky, they integrated them as family.

So do the parents of this "other" family.

They watch you grow up with their kids, teaching us, looking out for us, helping us become the people we are today. They celebrate our achievements with us, and are there for us when we fall. It's not hard to find that we also, become part of their family. They love us too.

My village is a little smaller today, and my heart is a little heavier but, while pain is the price we pay for love, it is just a reminder of how important you are in someone's life.

Rest in peace, my "other" mom.

Slow writer is slow. Its taken me an entire week to write this scene, its only 600 words long so far and its still not done. Progress is progress?

I completely understand. There have been scenes that have taken me weeks to write that are just a few lines long. But as I have my son writing at just 5 sentences a day every word gets you closer to your goal.

Got another skin infection. They tested me for lymes but I don't think that's what it is because it keeps going from one arm to the next. Hoping for some answers, I can't keep taking antibiotics all the time :/

Boyfriend has moved in, schedules are a little Topsy turvey right now but going well so far. I didn't have to pick between paying rent and eating so yay. Still no internet as of right now and still woefully in debt but its hard to stay sad pants about it when he's so positive all the time. Having a hard time with the writing thing still.. someday...
