| GLOBAL COOPERATION IS KEY TO CRISIS We are living and witnessing the worst pandemic of this century. Ten of Thousand are killed by COVID-19 and lakhs were reported positive. These numbers are increasing exponentially experiencing the people on this earth. The curve is declining but at a slow rate in the case of China, perhaps, the origin of this pandemic. Some world leaders are busy blaming and suing the whole problem on others rather than the first responder of this crisis. Countries, regions, offices, schools are facing lockdown for months and maybe in the coming months too. Hospital Authorities, doctors and nurses are facing shortages ventilators, beds, PPE, N95 masks, and gloves. Pharmaceutical industries are in full mode to accelerate the production of essential items. An entire global supply chain is disrupted. Reports are saying that the world may face the worst economic recession in 2008. Global growth will decline at an alarming rate and so the unemployment rate too. There will be a financial burden on the sovereign government to help the last men of their country. This crisis raises more questions than answers. There is a need for global governance architecture that is responsive and compliant in crisis. Crisis does not ask before coming. There are flaws in present global governance architecture and need to fix these problems. We are living in a globalized world. Everyone is stressing in Parochiolsim. This world is interdependent in every sphere like economic, military, diplomatic, science, food, health, technology. The problem lies in global governance to reduce the fatalities in the future by respecting the sovereignty of each nation. |

| Afghanistan is more of a "graveyard of empires". It is mother of vicious circle. It is rightly said by American Columnist Maureen Dowd. But, It is quite interesting in the history of Afghanistan back from Silk days to Trump days of USA. One thing always stayed true and fascinated to all about its "Geography". In this piece of article, I want to highlight the importance of Afghanistan's location for different empires and how It is affecting the politics of the world. Indeed, It is a geography of this unlucky country affecting the politics of World, so-called "Geopolitics", a term given by great Geographer H. Mackinder. Afghanistan is a landlocked country. This nation is touching three out of five central Asian countries on the northern side, Iran on the west side & Pakistan on the South & Eastside. If we look at their neighboring countries, all countries share key geopolitical strategies in someway. Central Asian countries, north of Afghanistan is source of Energy. Natural gas, coal & natural resources are left unexplored. China & Russia have an eye on these countries. Energy is important to run engine of an Economy. Moreover, this region is gateway to European countries. Having control over Afghanistan is crucial for commercial development of any country. Countries like China, USA, Russia (USSR-failed in past), Pakistan & India. Most importantly, world leaders USA tried for 18 years & failed to do so. After withdrawal of American troops from soil of Afghanistan vacuum will be there, It will be interesting who will fill this vacuum. On the West side of Afghanistan, Iran is there. Iran is only Muslim nation country with having an overwhelming population of Shia. It is a theocratic country ruled by Ayatollah Khomeini,supreme religious leader. Have strained relations with USA & major oil-producing nations & access to commercial ports make Iran an important neighbor country. In South, Pakistan considered being the epicenter of terrorism by India. Pakistan is supporting Taliban in Afghanistan & without help of Pakistan,Taliban & USA are never come on board to sign the so-called "Peace Deal". In conclusion, Afghanistan is a territory everyone to occupy & want to have the taste of fascinating benefits, but no one able to defeat the hardliner Taliban & win the hearts of Afghani people. Afghani people are left out of all these by Major powers of the world who want to win this land. Listening to the concerns of Afghani people is key to the peace of this region. |
| It is a little break I took from WDC. It is wonderful news, I am going to share, I got a job in Supply Chain Field. I am very happy and a little bit nervous about the future. I respect every individual irrespective of sex. It may be male, female and transgender. Why women wear revealing clothes? Is it okay to wear? I come from India. Delhi is the capital of my country. Unfortunately, Delhi is a world capital of Rape. Delhi is a very open and cosmopolitan society. Sadly, thinking of society is very backward in aspects of gender mindset. Some people argue that wearing jeans, shorts, tops and revealing clothes of girls are the major reasons for rape. If she wearing such and such clothes that does not mean she is inviting anyone to rape her. If a man thinks, he was provoked by girls and fantasizing sexual desires with women after looking legs and thighs of girls. That means men are not supposed to be called a MAN. He can not control her sexual urges then what he can achieve in his life. He is unable to control his mind. Controlling a mind is necessary to win this world. This person is very sick. He needs to take rigorous counseling. After all, it is freedom of a person to wear anything. Freedom should be appreciated. If girls are wearing almost nothing in the temperature of 2 degrees centigrade. I think that the girl is also sick. She is using her body to gain attention from boys. That girl wants to show her body & nudity. And what about those female pornstars? That girl is exposing her mentality. If a girl is wearing skimpy clothes, then again is it okay for a girl? Every individual should wear that makes them comfortable. If she is feeling not comfortable, Why should take care of Fashion? A person should look decent. A person does not invest more time in dressing style and how he/she looks? Rather they focused more on knowledge. Women should not be viewed from an object of sex. | Hmmm... we have spoken at length, so I'll throw this out there. Supposing that everyone on WDC is open minded is sort of... idealistic. This is a huge group of people. In any large group (especially online, international, and super diverse), some people will be one extreme, some the opposite, and most somewhere in the middle. A bell curve (I know you know what I'm talking about). In my view, the sooner the closed-minded people identify themselves, the better... I can ignore them and move on that much faster.  |
| "Alcohol may not be the answer , but it sure helps forget the question" . "Alcohol would not solve your problems . Then again , neither will milk." "It is the Friday , the only decision you need to make is bottle or glass." I am teetotaller. I never touch intoxicants and non vegetarian food. I come from sikh relegion which teaches any kind of consuming intoxicants is forbidden . But , majority of my community drinks and my family members too drinks. When I was in college there was always peer pressure to me to drink and have sip of wine , whisky or anything. I always find above quotes promotes drinking is masculine feature. If you are not drinking , you are not masculine . Who drinks casually or regularly always thinks teetotaller are boring people. I think drinking even casually is also too harmful. Because , it makes person myopic . It made person short sighted . A person take decisions quickly without any thought of future. A person become short sighted in judging others. Drinking can be helpful for short time . It can reduce tension , fear and insecurity for time being . It is not solution to every problem. Thus it multiplies problem in their life. A person do not like background of problem and causes that leads to situation. Rather , they curse to their environment. That will not bring happiness in their life . Drinking increases memory loss. It increases aging process. If you want peace in your life, meditation and discussing with close one. It helps to the sufferings of persons. Stop connecting drinking with masculinity. I agree that the world connects drinking with masculinity and it shouldn't. Aren't you more of a man if you can deal with your problems without alcohol? This, of course, is just regarding those who try to drink their problems away. I'm fine with those who drink from time to time so long as it's responsibly and socially. But I definitely have friends and family members I love dearly who are alcoholics. It breaks my heart, but I love them anyway!  (But I often use Airplane Mode on my phone so I can get some sleep, though--drunk dialing is usually more fun for the dialer than the dialee.) You should probably edit your post. Near the bottom you said "Drinking reduces memory loss." I assume you meant it INCREASES memory loss? If so, go to the little arrow-type thingy in the upper right corner of your post (which is officially called a note) and click it. You will see Edit. Click that and below your post will be an editing box. If you ever submit your edits then realize you need to edit again, you have to refresh the page--experience talking. lol Also, on that arrow you will find that you can save a message if you want to keep it for later and you will find the note number if you want to refer to that note. (Officially, newsfeed posts are called notes.) Drinking is not a problem associated with men only. It is an increasing problem among girls especially young high school and college girls. Both young boys and girls find bravery in experiencing a blackout. My uncle from the maternal side, he drinks a lot, but by heart, he is a gem. He is caring and loving to everyone. My point is simple, you can not judge a person by their drinking habits. Moreover, it is a bad habit that has shown negative health effects physically, mentally and emotionally also. This bad habit must be stopped in young college-going students and who are drinking never put peer pressure on teetotallers. I experienced a lot of time in my life. In addition to this, girls are more vulnerable to sexual assault after their blackouts. Sometimes, I find some girls say to me, why girls can't drink and smoke? You are making a very sexist comment? In some way, they are right. But it is not good for their health too. What is your take on that? Just leave on them? |
| @Notsuki. Exactly, I find people after drinking one or two glasses of wine, they became sleepy, friendly, open and caring to everyone. It may be a good one if it is consuming in a lesser concentration. Anyways, I always think that I will be drinking at a later age. But, I am now fully convinced, It is going to harm in a long time and I will never touch alcohol in the rest of my life. I find exactly the same behavior as my sweet maternal uncle who takes two to three PATIALA PEG(it is drink famous in Patiala, a city in India, like Scottish Wine) and he behaves in the same as you father do. Hmmm... maybe try something like... Malcolm Gladwell. No matter WHAT you find interesting, one of his books will do.  He sorta... has well-researched rambling throughout and flits from topic to topic with pretty loose organization. Sounds like a nightmare, but I promise that in any given chapter of any book, you'll learn something interesting. I'd recommend Outliers (my favorite) or The Tipping Point (the most famous I think). Of course, some ideas of what you're into could help... |

| Love is complicated. Loving someone does not mean ending up with physical relations. Loving someone includes emotional bonding, affection, happiness to be with her and getting attention from someone and most importing coming closer day by day heart by heart. Not close always means physical. I love her. I miss her. Last time I talked to her in August. I am very desperate to talk to her. My heart always says to call her and talk to her. My heart always says to upload Instagram pictures with her, at least with her parents. To show my feelings that I am missing a lot very much. But, my mind always stops me. My mind always says not to talk. Focus on studies, careers, and the future. My family comes first. When I think of her I become sad. If this is true love. If this is true. She must feel in the same way in which I am feeling. She should think of me of small things which we make a memory with her. Please let her think in the same way. I want some love on her face for me. I want those days back. I do not want any kind of fancy love from her. I want that she hugged me. That day when she hugged me that day I will consider I get her trust back. I will make sure that I will not break your trust again. |
