Buy tickets or earn them through reviewing. This is a great way to encourage novel writers as they complete their first draft. Come review a chapter or two and let the writers know they have an audience. Push them to finish their novels in the next few weeks buy offering advice and encouragement. |

| Well, we seem to have a few things in common. I too teach at a middle school. Special Education English Language Arts/Reading 6-8. I am in the process of writing my first novel aimed at 5th-8th grade students. It is an adventure story set in the Smokey Mountains. The beginning of it is in my portfolio.
