From http://ThreeLinePoetry.com Hello poets, I'm writing with a quick update regarding the upcoming Three Line Poetry issue. I appreciate you visiting our website in the past. I thought I'd send a quick note regarding our submissions... We're going to be looking for quiet poems this time around... Imagine a stagnate pond, or sleeping bird -- anything quiet. Remember, no rhyme, and we suggest you limit (or eliminate) prepositions, articles, and conjunctions for the best compression. Be sure that each line stands alone. Poems like this: Birds ride thermal miles aching orange horizons last year's nest falls away Not this: Birds went to the sky, flying and flying to an old home remembered We have a few spots open for issue 44, and then we will begin to read for issue #45 (the quiet issue)... Feel free to submit to both. Remember, if you submit three to #44, you have to wait for a determination before you can submit to #45. All that said, we're reading feverishly right now, so it may only take a couple days for a determination on issue #44. Thanks and I look forward to reading your poems! |
Submitted several yesterday! |
Good luck!! |

I came to the realization that due to the current situation in Washington, D.C., I have become WAY too cynical. P.S. Yes, that deserved to be written in Size 5 font and bolded! LOL |
WOW! If only others in office had this type of generosity and integrity: Alabama: Gov. Robert Bentley (R) is not accepting his salary, $119,950 a year, until the unemployment rate in Alabama drops. Florida: Gov. Rick Scott (R) only collects 12 cents of his salary per year. Kentucky: Reflects a voluntary 10 percent salary cut taken by Gov. Steve Beshear (D). Michigan: Gov. Rick Snyder (R) returns all but $1 of his annual salary to the state. New York: Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) has reduced his salary by five percent. Tennessee: Gov. Bill Haslam (R) returns his salary to the state. Vermont: Gov. Peter Shumlin (D) has taken a voluntary three percent reduction in the annual salary. Hmmm, what would Trump do....pffft |
